    Looks good. I didn't think you were supposed to put any kind of finish over wax, I thought wax was the last top coat because it's not going to stick very well, what's your ideas?

    thanks for the video. you make it look easy! (just my opinion - i think the pattern is more modern, so would look better not aged or darkened. maybe better as a bright modern piece.)

    Hello. I just found your channel today. It's awesome. I just moved to a new apartment and I got some old furniture from a garage sale. This project will be great for my daughter dresser. Thank you. And, by the way, do you know the " Annie Sloan" was and chalk paint ? It's super good. ;-)

    Great video. I am looking to add a poster to drawers and would appreciate guidance on sealing it. Would painting the polycrylic on work on poster paper print work? Or polyurethane spray? I asked the poster seller companies on ebay and all say they do not recommend vanishing it.... i have heard refurbers saying they apply 8 coats of varnish!! Any ideas please. Many thanks

    Conventional wisdom says poly doesn't go over wax. Did it adhere and last?

  • @merrilew

    Just to be clear, did you put Modge Podge on top of the picture And then let it dry, before you put the dark wax?

    I thought Water-Based polyacrylic couldn't adhere to wax? I'm perplexed.

    • @TealStarSusan
      @TealStarSusan 7 лет назад

      Hiya Trixey Labelle... Modge Podge is a company that makes many different types of 'glue' etc for decoupage ! You can buy it from Amazon and probably in a craft store. Up to now, I have used plain 'white glue' pva, and it works pretty well. I have some modge podge to try for my next project ... it is obviously more expensive but might do an even better finish! We'll see !!

      Susan Miller Thankyou for letting me know what it is Susan, I didn't know if it was a American product cause Im in the UK, but least I know now I can get it on Amazon and what modge podge actually is! thanks again and I hope your new project using it goes to plan you'll have to let us know ?
