I have learned that Overlocker thread is thinner thread, than sewing machine thread. Sometimes thread used for upholstery in factories looks like cones of Overlocker thread but are just larger cones for car seats etc., thought I would share. ❤️💙💜

Loved all your WIPs and projects, lots of ideas for me too! When you held up the denim and the cotton you are going to use as the contrast for the welts and collar I can see what you meant about Weston, I am hoping you meant Weston-Super-Mare, as that is what came to my mind anyway, and I can see why you thought that as that beach goes on and on so all you have are patches of sand with patches of sea trapped inland so the blues and the yellow/oranges reminded me of that 🤣 I had quite a trip down memory lane as my family used to go there regularly for day trips and I remember as a kid it was called Weston-Super-Mud in our family because we all rarely saw the sea and spent the day played in the thick sand usually getting stuck! 😂

I used to love Weston Supermare as a child I remember the wooden pier. I see what you mean now I look at the fabric x

Great vlog as always glad you got your Marigolds sorted. Will check out the new pattern company you found. I have made a Pogonip in a fleece and done the pockets and placket in a different fabric. ❤❤

Love your pogonip, I have made 2 now using quilted fabric from Legend textiles, which proved to be too thick 🙄 the first one was too big and the second too small 🤪 I will make it again in something lighter, I really enjoyed the process though and my first welt pockets were very successful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Oh that fabric from legend textiles is lovely. I don't mind the process but not sure how many more welt pockets I'll do!!! I'm not a big fan of being that precise lol

I see you make your toiles in really nice material and finish them to be able to wear them, not discard them or make them into patterns. Is this what you usually do? I am starting to sew again after sewing a handful of outfits nearly 40 years and am keen to learn from the experts!

Hi so I often make my toiles in cheap fabric that I like because then if it turns out we'll I can wear it and if it doesn't I'm not sad. The purple marigold jumper was fabric at £3 a metre so I probably spent about £4.50. I some times use old bedsheets which I but from charity shops but again I only buy ones I like. I hope that helps.

Thank you! Not so easy to get that cheap material in South Africa and we don’t have thrift shops. I will however look a bit more thoroughly. Love your channel. You are so interesting and have a lovely personality. I love how you keep to your own particular style. You inspire me.
