So I haven’t been on here for a while as life’s been getting in the way, first thing I’ve noticed is the silence! Your commentary and voice were the main reason I loved watching, looking through the comments it seems that someone’s moaned and now you’ve stopped explaining as you work! Your voice has got to be up there as one of the most listenable voices out there, with a massive amount of knowledge shared along the journey. So many haters out there that live to pick fault and put down people that are comfortable and happy in themselves. Please keep doing what you do.

Miss listening to you yapping, and you weren't annoying as somebody rudely accused you of. It was great to go on the journey with you, through your thoughts, etc. It's a pity you don't have two versions of each video, one for the ASMR fans, and another for those who loved listening to you.

I’m sitting here having a chuckle to myself. I have watched so many of your videos. When you got to the opal with the needles in it I was saying to myself, ‘I hope the needles polish out because it looks like a beauty. ‘ Next was the little fissure and I thought, ‘ooh, he’s going to have to cut the stone in two’ and you did. When you started doing the roughing of the second stone, I’m thinking ‘the colour is disappearing on one side, gonna have to bring it in’ and you did. I know absolutely nothing about Opals or any other precious stone 😂. Thank you for educating me. Only a few of my friends know this, but when I start talking about precious stones my fingers start to tingle. Weird, I know!

Always enjoy your narrative when you're cutting but also these types where you're just going through rough. There's a lot more of that on the market that newer cutters will see than the ones with straight forward bars. Happy Holidays!

    stone one, nice pair
    stone two, stubborn little bugger
stone three, me crying as all that wonderful doublet base material evaporated into dust...and then you hit the color, not super bright but I think it's cool
stone four, thought you'd grind down the shiny top to the bright layer in the middle. not surprised when you went for double sided(ish). good little stone
stone five, fairly straightforward. I likely would have screwed up and ground all the pointy side down.
stone six, absolutely gorgeous. slicer time?
stone seven, DOH! what a tease
stone eight, what a gimme. great pendant piece, imo
    stone nine, womp womp
stone ten, fantastic color, if you don;t mind half the beach coming along for the ride. I grimaced watching all that great color disappear, but I understand why you did it (though rookie me would have sliced that part off) and in the end you rescued a fantastic green gem. I will love seeing the final weight and valuation on it.
stone eleven, i love kopite...lol, said no one ever. I actually predicted that slice, yay. two very beautiful gems out of this stone. Winning!
stone twelve, weird little knobby turns into one of the best in the bunch (imo).
stone thirteen, ah...another day at the beach with nothing but sand in your shorts at the end. still, i do love that dual stripe pattern!
stone fourteen, a hint of promise returns....results.
stone fifteen, don't call me honey but BABY dem colors! ooo la la
    stone sixteen, fooled ya! rats..
stone seventeen, so you're telling me there's a chance? nope...
stone eighteen, come find me, then decide...
Some very nice stone this run, and some stinkers too. still, some of those would be cool as specimens, or for that next "secret project". (casting my vote now for 'opal seat for throne')
you move so quickly while shaping that it is often hard to see where you are going next, but I find it hopeful that I am seeing what you're going for as you are doing it, and sometimes before.
I am not sure if anyone has ever said this to you before, "but you are a GD magician", Justin.

Opel lovers want to know. 😎 One of your rubs had a brownish cast that reminded me of the "window sill, bad potch" stone; wondering if that was a "good potch, but brownish" stone?
