Bts THE rappers in kpop, they fr REAL rappers. In the kpop industry, some members in some other groups just be placed with the title as a “rapper” bcs of their inability to carry out well in any other position. What you heard from bts was nothing to what they really capable of. The rapline consisting of Rm, Suga and Jhope are really unique to their own, but all posses to the ability to incorporate great lyricism and flows. Their knowledge and appreciation of the hip hop culture and history plays a huge roll on them aswell. They make sure to show homage to those who inspired/ continue to inspire them in their music, giving them shout outs and what not. Their solo work as well as what they present as a team really proves that they have real love and a deep connection for the hip hop culture and don’t see it as an aesthetic, as some kpop rappers tend to do. Really hope you can dive into bts and see their full potential, that is if you continue to react to them, totally your choice man. Nonetheless your reaction was entertaining ash.

Just some more info, RM and Suga were underground rappers before becoming Idols. J Hope is a street dancer and trained hard to be a rapper.

Don't worry: we already know the Jimin effect. There are some funny vids about it, too.
"Fake Love" is complicated. I think there is a vid from them filming this, too.
The song and MV are leaning on 2 (!) storylines.
1. The BU (= Bangtan Universe) that consists of MVs (Korean AND Japanese), On Stage: Prologue, short films, Notes/books, a webtoon (Save Me), a mobile game (I think it ceased existing last year 😥) and we are getting a K-Drama nicknamed "Youth".
It's a story on it's own and complicated. The fire, water and snickers represent trauma in that story but there are also other elements that belong firmly into the BU.
2. BTS does concept albums over multiple albums. "Fake Love" is from the second album of the "Love Yourself"-series: "LY: Tear"
It's about a relationship that funnily doesn't even need to be romantic (it can be family or friends, even one self, etc., too) and builts over the first album with the first problem already occuring at the end of it. But in "Fake Love" we go from "I don't know why" to "I just know why" and the relationship breaks. The problem is NOT the other person but you who has pretended to be someone else to fullfill someone else idea of what a perfect partner/relationship should be. You have lost yourself in the relationship and refused to aknowledge why it was hurting.
BTS made a "Highlight Reel" to it (also part of the BU) in which we see how relationships can go wrong. Jin has found a diary of a girl and used it to fullfill her wishes because he liked her. It did not work out in the long run as we can see in the third album of the series with "Epiphany" which holds the answer why it did not work.
Communication problems often begin with oneself and not only others.
I mean how can someone love us if they don't have a chance to know us?
Self-Love is a journey.
The way I see it BTS has told Army a "coming of age" story under a lot of different aspects: social/school, youth under hardship, literature (with aspects of philosophy & psychology), Self-Love and to "love yourself" you need to "know yourself": psychology (Carl Jung)

loved the reaction and how excited you were!! to answer you question, there are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in BTS! all of them also have solo careers, so you can check out all of them individually if you’d like! j-hope, the first rapper you pointed out has a song called ‘on the street’ with J.Cole that came out this year! it was really a big moment for him as a long-time fan of J.Cole!! i’d recommend you checking out Black Swan for another BTS song with the whole group. they all have very distinct identities as solo artists, which makes it even more incredible the fact that they can come together and be even more amazing as a group! i’ll leave some suggestions down here if you want to check them out individually!
RM - Wild Flower (with youjeen) [rapper and leader of the group, also has collaborations with Erykah Badu, Aderson Paak., Wale…]

@maxsigolive no one is leaving they are still together but 3 members are in the korean military tje rest will be going in as well possibly by the end of this year bit they signed another contract for 2025 they will be coming back full throttle. But in 2024 2 members will be outta the military and will be making content for us till 2025 when they come back

Jungkook is at the top! He is the main vocalist in BTS, but standing side to side with their 3 other highly capable vocalists (Jin, V and Jimin). Besides these, 3 very talented rappers in RM, Suga and J-hope. RM being the groups leader, Suga their main produser and J-hope their dance leader. They all write and produce their own stuff, solo, but for the group aswell. Not to mention all being highly skilled dancers, rappers and vocalists. They debuted in 2013, a seven member group staying together for now 10 years. They Are like each others family, and love eachother and their fans dearly. Jungkook is their youngest member, and as all the other members, have recently released solo stuff. You have so much to discover ;) Their music catalog is huge, and mix and cross all genres. Just try the song «On, kinetic manifesto», really highlighting the groups qualities. Or: «Outro: tear» live, showing the amazing rap trio in the group. I could go on and on. Remember captions for their songs with mix of korean and english language. Their music always have deeper and meaningful lyrics.
