Hello Allan, I am amazed at your determination to produce this excellent wash plant, to make it one of the worlds best small portable wash plants. Great video
Well I just watched the video straight through, and I think it was awesome! The plant looks amazing. So much work went into your wash plant. Incredible presentation, great science experiments to help demonstrate the concept. I really appreciate how you explained to everyone the pros and cons of each side of drywashing and trommels. Things are looking like a bright future! Thanks for sharing this presentation with us!
Thank you very much for the great comments !! Glad you enjoyed the video ! Overall, it's been a very interesting and fun journey, and great opportunity to share these experiences with fellow gold prospecting enthusiasts. Looking forward to getting the Gold Rattler in production. Thanks for watching, and best of luck to you prospecting !!

Slow process, but moving forward. I found a shop that will do all the CNC metal fabrication, which will save a ton on labor and time. Hopefully, by then the patents and trademark will be completed. Yeah, we definitely need to do a co-lab video on it, not to mention that hole I found too ! Could be a future drift mine. 🤠⛏⚒👍👍👍

Hey, Allan, great presentation, experiments and explanations! This video clip REALLY explained a lot of the changes I saw (and didn't understand) between your other videos through the years. Best wishes to you in getting that prototype into production and finding that 'mother lode' in the commercial/retail market! 👍
Excellent presentation, Allan. I've been following you for quite some time on RUclips with the progression of your wash plant from your early Trommel builds. I heard you state that it can process 2 Cubic yards an hour. Have you done a run with a conveyor belt, consistent feed of semi-classified material ( stone less than 5" ) can go on to the shaker deck without causing damage or a rock jam?
Hi Chris. Thanks for sticking with me since the beginning. Been an interesting journey, hasn't it ? BTW, great question. Yes, eventually I plan to install a hopper-feeder conveyor and a stacker conveyor for production level operations. Could easily run 10-12 yards daily with a small excavator, to demonstrate it's small mine capabilities. Probably sometime out in the future? I'll need to get the permits, and get larger tubs to handle the volume. Best of luck to you !
Hi Allan! I'm so glad you are finally ready to produce these! I seriously hope they become a great commodity... but if you are running a booth at the gold shows, who will do the walk around video? lol jk
Hi Chris ! Thanks for tunning in !! Funny how you should mentioned about the Gold Shows. I was showing off the GR at Pomona show last year. So busy, I couldn't film the show. Lol !!
You have a lot of knowledge thank you for sharing and designing a Great way to prosses dirt. how hard would it be to upscale it. So you can feed the hopper with a skidsteer or a small backhoe and still get the same results.
Hi David. Thank you for the kind compliments and great question. I've often thought of making a larger machine for higher production some day in the future. It's will require a few design modifications in order to handle the increased scale, but certainly doable. Costs will be exponentially higher as well. The current model is perfect size for marketing to the hobby prospector enthusiast. Best of luck to you prospecting ! 🤠⛏⚒👍
Hi Ron. Thank you for your interest. Much appreciated. Was hoping to start production this summer, but certain components and materials are on backorder, which will no doubt push production further. Also a lot more logistics than I didn't anticipate resolving. Hang in there. It will eventually get there. Best of luck prospecting. 👍
Hi Jamie. Thanks for watching. Good question. At 30 mesh it should have no problem processing, however, it's best to pulverize the ore down to at least 100 mesh to release most of the gold. With that said, the upper shaker deck might have trouble processing fine powder because it has a tendency to clump. They key to washing material is to have variety of sizes. The larger rocks help break up finer clumps of silt and clay, and the vibration keeps it all well mixed, as it flows down to the classifier screens and onto the sluice. Best of luck to you !
Great stuff Allan, as far as the sluice feed rate if u have a pile of nome beach sand could you shovel into the deck non stop or maybe use a conveyor? Im just curious as to its diffrent applications and if it would require a longer, wider sluice for that type of an application. I see the potential for a ramped up beach placer operation with the gold rattler, especially with its recirc capability.
Nome Beach sand should be easy to process. It's probably better than the gooey clay I'm running. The sluice is 15" and excellent for fine gold recovery. I'm going to Nome it summer. If all goes well, might take the GR up there the following season. 👍
you could shovr@@allansgoldmining From what ive seen with Nome beach sand it seems very clean for raw pay, ive watched alot of American gold prospecters videos on the beach and i think as far as recirculating goes i think its very doable. most beach boxes are 24 inches wide but with the shaker deck i think you cpuld shovel all day into the gold rattler. Will you be filming some of your trip to nome? if so i look forward to seeing it.
At about 25:41 you're talking about the motors syncing up for you. I was wondering, if one burns out would you need to replace the other because wear on the old could make it harder for the new on to sync to it or possibly cause undue wear on one or both motors?
Wow, Caleb ! Very good question !!! Your assumption is correct. 👍 It would be best to replace both. However, you could get away with simply replacing one, but won't be nearly as efficient. There is another aspect to the "Energy Balance Mechanism" Soup Can demo, that I completely stumbled upon by accident, and unfortunately not show at the meeting. If both motors synchronized and you turn the power off to one of them, the remaining motor transfers its energy to the other and keeps it turning, even with the power off. Wow !! The deck continues to operate, but not quite as efficient, and there's a slight audible change in pitch. It's the most bizarre thing ever to witness !! The only side effect that I observed is the operating motor begins to heat up, probably because it's working twice as hard. Like I mentioned in the talk, the physics surrounding this contraption can be quite complicated but fun to explore. LOL ! Best of luck to you prospecting !! 🤠⛏⚒👍👍👍
@@allansgoldmining Huh, super cool! Thanks for the in-depth answer, again, love the channel!
