शर्मा जी सबसे पहले तो मैं आप को इतना अच्छा प्रोग्राम देने के लिए मुबारकबाद देता हुं।
फिल्म मुगल ए आजम सचमुच एक नायाब फिल्म बनाई थी के आसिफ साहब ने जो बहुत लम्बे समय तक याद की जाएगी। इस में शक नहीं।
शर्मा जी यह फिल्म 1960 में रीलीज हुई थी। उस समय का किस्सा मैं बताना चाहता हुं। समय हो तो पडिए।
मैं उस समय अमृतसर में रहता था और जिस दिन मुगल ए आजम रीलीज हुई उसी दिन शहर में 1953 की फिल्म "अनारकली" भी दुसरे सिनेमा घर में दिखाई जाने लगी। आप को शायद मालूम नहीं, शायद फिल्म अनारकली भी बहुत मकबूल हुई थी अपने जमाने में। उस फिल्म अनारकली ने उस समय मुगल ए आजम का जोश कम कर दिया था। Exibitors ने मुगल ए आजम की शहर में लाउडस्पीकरों पर मशहूरी शुरू कर दी। मेहनत रंग लाई। जनता को फिल्म की खुबियां समझ आने लगी और फिल्म चल पडी।
अंत में फिर कहुंगा मुगल ए आजम बेहतरीन फिल्म थी और अब भी है।

good work with proper research and references- yes from what i have heard from our elders who were highly literate and a good grasp of history the 2nd theory of anarkali being the concubine of akbar seems to be very close to reality and an acceptable truth which surrounds the myth and suspence of this character.
yes no doubt the greatest film ever made even appreciated and respected among the hollywood's elite scholars which is very hard because they do not accept someones greatness which is a supremacist trait of the aryans but this movie made that impossible thing into a reality that is one of the greatness of the film.
another beauty of this film and many olden but golden films is that they appeal to even the generations born much after this films were made like you and me.
