This song reminded my of my hubby while he was on all his deployments. This was pre Skype. We would have to use prepaid phone cards. Our families all threw them in their care packages. However, ever single minute I got to hear his actual voice was a miracle to me. I’d answer no matter when or where. At work YEP! At home, 💯! Middle of the night, yep! It’s amazing how music is the playlist to our lives. This takes me back to the early 2000’s!

My husband bought me this cd before he deployed to Iraq. We spent the night in the truck listening to it all night before he left out the next morning. Very sentimental to me
I love his voice . The funny thing is the band had no singer he was a guitarist . They needed someone to sing and the band just kinda forced him into it . He said he was so nervous doing it at first and hated the sound of his voice . Kinda hard to believe looking back now that they were so successful and his voice to me is a major reason for it .
I must have listened to this song 500 times while I was in Iraq and Afghanistan. 26 months all together. I dreamed about Janis almost every night. We were together almost 20 years. Now she's gone. Everytime I hear this song the only thing I can think about is her. The most beautiful smile in the world.
