  • Come study with me!!
For those that are new here... my name is Ellie and I'm a student at the University of Cambridge studying Part III Masters of the Mathematical Tripos (basically a fancy way of saying I'm studying a maths masters lol) and I am in Sidney Sussex College! I love maths, space and tech (I have a tech channel too!) and I'm so excited to share this new chapter with you all 💛

Great video Ellie! I'll be honest I still find it somewhat confusing that you decided to study maths since you love Physics and space so much. You mentioned before it was because you didn't take Physics in your a levels. If you don't mind me asking, why is that?
Of course a mathematics degree would equip you with the rigourous maths you would encounter but I assume doing an astrophysics masters without the core Physics knowledge would be quite hard.
And yet you graduated with amazing grades! And from one of the hardest maths degrees in the world. You truly are an inspiration. Thanks for this video, eagerly waiting for the next one ☺️.

Thank you!! I didn't take Physics at A-Level because it clashed with one of my other A-Levels I believe. I went to a state school (both secondary and sixth form) and we were in special measures so it was a failing school - probably the reason they didn't have a variety of A-Levels on offer at the time :(
Not having the Physics knowledge was challenging at times but I really enjoyed learning new concepts - it helped keep my Masters degree interested and unique :) thank you!!
