I wish I had a competent Boss like you. They should start making Nate certification mandatory Nationally. You know your stuff Taddy. Keep them coming.

      what is nate certefication again?

@@979vlogs7 NATE certification is a federal and nationally understood credential. By taking the NATE exam which is proctored and not open book, it shows that you have a deep understanding of HVAC applications.. NATE is a lot harder than acquiring your universal certification. After you take your NATE core exam, then you move on to take your specialty NATE exams. These specialty fields allow you to dive deeper into the fields of your interest. A company who sees that a person is NATE certified, shouldn’t second-guess them. Moreover, by acquiring your NATE certification, you are eligible to keep up-to-date on the newest developing technologies that are related to HVAC applications. You are awarded NATE credits. Only a person who is NATE certified can earn NATE credits through the approved channels. So, NATE also lets people know that you’re constantly keeping up-to-date on the newest HVAC technologies and updates. I hope this helped.

I have a ducted Midea unit not unlike this one. The service manual does not do a good job of explaining how to remove the blower assembly. This gives some great hints. Thanks!

Amazing video and very beneficial. I have a Daikin indoor unit with a DC brushless motor, where I notice the fan ramps up to a high speed and then stops, vibration is also a bit abnormal when this ramp-up happens. Is this a sign of a bad motor or an issue with the control board

I always told my new construction homeowners that sheetrock dust clogs the indoor coil and destroys blower motor bearings and NO warranty on parts or labor. The installation paperwork/warranty usually states that. If a contractor needs heat, they need to run salamanders, LP heaters or electric heaters.

Tadd, when you assembled the blower blades on the new motor you reversed the right hand drum so it will be running backwards and not blowing air. I waited to see if you would find and fix it but you assembled it reversed.

When you have flare fittings on anything try some refrigeration oil or nylog on the brass, definitely helps with the brass to brass connections. Also, can use on flare sight glasses and txv's. No jokes love the fact you actually torque them to spec because a lot of people don't.

Tad, great video and super helpful - I just subscribed to your channel as well!
Question for you: I have the same exact issue with my 1.5 ton pancake style Samsung blower motor, but it's sitting on blocks in very tight attic space that's only 4-feet tall. Any recommendations for the best way to hang it in a tight space to then complete the motor swap? My idea is to hang the mini-duct from the flat attic ceiling, remove the blocks it's sitting on and then complete motor swap before making a new removable ceiling below.
