My opinion on what Ash's Team should be for the Masters 8: • Pikachu (Electrium Z) • Lucario/Mega Lucario • Greninja (Ash-Greninja) • Charizard/Infernape • Sceptile • Dragonite/Gengar (D/G-Max)
Someone already mentioned this, but there isn't any proof of him losing battle bond, even without battle bond, he has to be stronger than sceptile (We all saw how he put dirt in lucario's face effortlessly), I'd say his base form now is around about 80% as strong (or as strong) as his battle bond form in XYZ. We rank Charizard higher because, since greninja ever existed, Charizard has been training, *Or wait has he, last I checked he was chilling in the lab* Anyways, all we can say, is that greninja and Charizard are equal, in order for greninja to surpass him (which he easily could) he would have to be in battle bond, which we don't know the strength of. Also, there's a reason Mystic puts infernape low, and thats cos he got overshadowed against Gary's Blastoise, I agree that they should've done it justice.

All of this without any gimmicks like z move, mega, gmax. it gave a good fight to the undefeated 8move busted dragonite, slayed a dragonite who after a few episodes put up a good fight against legendary Pokemon
For those who don’t know about Ash’s Pikachu: The reason this Pikachu gotten stronger despite not evolve because he wants to prove he can get stronger as himself. And he did lol
You should do a "What if Ash evolved his Pokémon" video. There's one of Ash's Unova Pokémon that I think has the potential to be stronger even than Krookodile: Palpitoad. It's already tanky. It takes hits, and has a fantastic moveset. If it evolved into Seismitoad, I think it would rival, or even surpass Krookodile.
My Top 10 is pretty easy 1.) Pikachu 2.) Charizard 3.) Greninja 4.) Infernape 5.) Sceptile 6.) Melmetal 7.) Lucario 8.) Dragonite 9.) Snorlax 10.) Krookodile, Lycanroc-D = Tied I can't put Incineroar on this list because we don't know its battling capabilities as an Incineroar. I put Melmetal at 6 because of 2 factors, its performance against Gladion's Silvally is actually pretty legendary in context. A newly evolved Mythical vs a fully trained Legendary Pokemon and it pulled off Ash's Charizard's role vs Drake's Dragonite in the Orange league beautifully by using its bulk. That's exactly how Snorlax and Torterra were used on multiple occasions and Melmetal did it in his first battle against a Legendary, even in defeat.
I’m not sure you can put Incineroar on the list based on your standards set, unless we accept what the Pokémon have done before hitting final stage then fair. But based on how I understood it, I’d put Heracross (talk about an underrated mon owned by Ash), Donphan, or Gengar. Not to mention he has Mons like Lycanroc and Melmetal as well. Ash has a lot of awesome Pokes. Btw I’d prefer is Ash got Megazard X, since Lucario is already a Special Attacker lol.
Actually inceneroar defeated kuikui's strongest mon Lycanroc was not even able to defeat braviary as for melmetal it has a lack of screen time and lost miserably on his 2 battles Donphan's only win was against lucy's seviper As for heracross it is underrated for sure but his opponents are not even close to be as strong as kuikui's pokemon As for gengar yeah maybe but don't forget that the Gmax/Dmax is only usable in galar And without those he is probably his weakest pokemon on his current team
Disagree on Infernape being so high. He's strong for sure, but I feel like he's on the high-end of Ash's E4 level mons, like Snorlax, Krookodile, etc. I don't think any of his feats warrant him being up there with Ash's legendary or champion fighters like Sceptile, Greninja or Pikachu.
Lmao that's a joke right Volkner was considered an elite four equivalent level And paul's electivire clapped pikachu who just tied with Latios the episode after Infernape would have defeated darkrai aswell if he was used instead of sceptile And greninja? All it has done was defeating wulfric who was not pointed to be as strong as volkner clair or raihan who are elite four level And sawyer mega sceptile is probably the weakest of its species And Paul is obviously stronger than him And in journey he literally left the lab looking for a stronger opponent than charizard
Oh damn I’ve never heard this opinion before! It’s food for thought for sure, so I’ll add to this - consider that once Infernape hit Blaze vs Electivire it WAS NOT CLOSE it creamed em! And this was after Infernape finished up half of Paul’s team over the course of the battle and took point blank Thunder… Since then it’s confirmed to have been training so it could only be stronger than then (which cap in Sinnoh we don’t know). I like Sceptile at #5 but Infernape just has a higher peak so it must be #4 in my POV, they gas tf outta It’s Blaze compared to Sceptile Overgrow and there’s no gimmicks between the two Ash uses. I’ll agree that Sceptile has faced more E4 level opponents and won barely, so off of what we seen it should be higher but Infernape’s potential has been laid out to be higher
@@kenerb654 well considering Thier feats Sceptile strongest opponents were claydol and from what we know paul's brother managed to defeat too who is slightly weaker than paul And darkrai Infernape defeated luxray who was the ace of volkner considered equal to an elite four And paul's electivire who was even stronger than pikachu who tied with latios
I would have agreed with you that Infernape comes in 4th had it not been for Infernapes returning episode where it was kinda implied that Infernape beat charizard. I think they’re at least equal in power but after blaze Infernape overtakes charizard
I get this take but it was not implied though is the only thing. I think it just wanted to push itself even further. If anything to me it felt that it didn't bear charizard only that it was close. It felt like Charizard won to me based off the way it was written because if he had won there would be no reason to not say it did.
@@wallywedge968 how it was stated that charizard defeated it when Gary literally said that infernape left the lab looking for a worthy fire type than those he battled If it had lost to it it would be to important to note mention it on the episode
they didn't imply it beat charizard. Just that it wanted to try something stronger. You can get beat by a pokemon and still want to try something stronger. They were sparring so I don't fully think there was really a conclusion to their battles.
Keep in mind: Gary's Blastoise put up a much better performance against Moltres than base Infernape - the same Blastoise that lost easily to Ash's Charizard back in the Jhoto League, alongside Scizor and Golem. It's also probably safe to assume that Ash's Charizard, given how it frequently trains with his other Pokemon, is still more powerful than Gary's Blastoise.
I think Greninja should be higher just because I love Greninja and because of his bond with Greninja namely Ash Greninja. But I do agree with you about Journeys should let Ash's other Pokemon show up for the master 8 Charizard should make another return, Greninja even though it already appeared in Journeys once, Infernape too, Spectile and I haven't been that far in the black and white series to see Krokorok be stronger after it evolved but now I think it should make an appearance too, Snorlax and Lucario needs to be fighting with Ash too in the coronation and Pikachu also should be fighting with Ash. In fact most of Ash's Pokemon should show up to help him even Pigdeot because Ash still haven't kept his promise to come back for it but would be cheating.
@@andysnider6984 magikarps are scary You can beat a whole game with just a magikarp And you can sweep an entire team with legendaries by using only magikarp
I’m crying over the pronunciation of Stefan’s name 😂 Probably because I’m rewatching the Black and White series, and can hear his voice now, “It’s SteFAN.”
The list based on true facts. Love ur videos. Greninja stans might learn something from this video. And the only thing I disagree is, infernape should b in 6 th spot, he is not 4th, he is definitely lower than dragonite and sceptile.
People sleeping on Gengar. G-Max Gengar is definitely one of Ash's top 10 Pokemon. His top Pokemon: 1) Greninja (Battle Bond) 2) Pikachu (Z-Move) 3) & 4) Charizard or Blaze Infernape 5) Lucario (Mega & Gigantic Aura Sphere) 6) Gengar (G-Max) 7) & 8) Sceptile or Incineroar 9) Snorlax 10) Krookadile Runner-up: Dragonite Ash's Charizard effortlessly steamrolled through 3 of Gary's Pokemon, one of which was his ace, Blastoise; his Blastoise, in Journeys, later performed far better against Moltres than base Infernape. He also stomped Iris' Dragonite in Unova, whom was effortlessly more powerful than other non-elite trainers' Pokemon, held its own against the Forces of Nature Pokemon alongside Cynthia's Garchomp, and was no-selling Ash's Dragonite in their battle. Ash's Krookodile, as a Krokorok, was able to fight against this same Dragonite quite well, unlike his Dragonite (albeit, it's possible Iris' Dragonite is stronger than it was in Unova).
I think the top 10 Strongest Ash Pokemon 10, Krookidillo 9: Incinaroar or Lycanroc 8, Dragonite 7, Snorlax 6, Secptile 5, Mega Lucario 4, Infernape 3, AshGreninja 2, Charizard 1, Pikachu with honorary mentions to Heracross Starapter Naganadul and Talonflame.
Edit: okay I’ll give u the sceptile position. And ima be real. Sceptile could have been the very first ash form. If any other Pokémon were to get an ash bond for, it would be sceptile. Charazard disobeyed and isn’t his from the start. Who as a charmander still wanted to return to its original trainer. Frokie is different because it chose not to stick whit the trainers cuz it felt they weren’t worthy. Infernape again isn’t originally owned by ash and was always more of an adoption kind of thing. He already has its super blaze mode so it doesn’t need an ash form. O no your one of those people who would rather say fuck the story telling they did with his journeys team and make him use his old Pokémon at that point half of journeys episodes plus the filler shouldn’t even exist. That makes 1/3 of the show maybe less worth the watch.
I mean, Charizard has been training nonstop, yes, but... So has Greninja? It's been taking out tons of negative roots ever since it was released. We don't know the rate at which he's been taking them out, but considering that Lucario, Ash's ace for journeys, struggled to destroy *ONE* during Greninja's returning episode, Well, needless to say, I think Greninja is stronger than Charizard.
Difference is, Charizard been going on and training for practically around 2 decades while Greninja only a half a decade or slightly over. Don't misunderstand me, they're both overrated but yes they both been training like mad lads, Charizard just for longer and has the (un)fortunate advantage because of that. I agree with MysticUmbreon on the numbers.
@@marilynlucero9363 Charizard has been training for way longer, yes, but Greninja has *arguably* been under much harsher, and therefore more effective training, what with the Negative Roots and probably Zygarde. Charizard has a better move set, but Greninja is super fast (just look at its fights with Sawyer), so it could just easily dodge everything with its speed, and double team. On top of that, Greninja has the type Advantage and a super-effective move in Water Shuriken for when it flies in the air. As for feats, the only impressive Pokemon Charizard has beaten is Articuno. I don't think this is very impressive because there are multiple Articuno in the anime, and the one Charizard beaten was probably one of the weaker ones. If Charizard battled another, different Articuno, like the one that Solo'd Ash, Goh, Gary, and Tokio in Journeys with its current strength... well... I doubt its chances. Greninja, however, beat 2 Mega Evolutions. Mega Abomasnow, and Mega Sceptile (not counting Lysandre's Mega Gyarados since it had help), both of which are pretty strong. I'm not saying MU's list is horrible, but I still believe Greninja is stronger than Charizard.
@@marilynlucero9363 I also agree with the numbers I mean Charizard toke down an articuno while Greninja lost to a charizard when he had a type advantage, I know what some people are thinking ‘That charizard has defeated a zygarde and every mega ever and Greninja is strong no doubt but Charizard for me is stronger then Greninja. If charizard listens to ash it’s a lean mean fightmachine
I think if his master 8 battles are 6v6 (which they literally should all be like there’s not excuse) then I think he’ll bring back old team members. But if they’re gonna be 3v3 I think he should stick with his Journeys squad. Let them have their moments to shine. I also think the training sequences we got in episode 114 hint at his old Pokémon not returning.
I’m watching this, feeling nostalgic, and I can’t help but cry and smile at the same time because I just fought as hard as I could to catch a shiny Umbreon in a raid and it’s in a moon ball.
Pikachu Sceptile Infernape Lucario Dragonite Gengar I think greninja is training lucario to take its place. Since it’s gotta protect the forest . That’s all I can think of. Same with charizard. Teaching Infernape and training to the point where it seeked Moltres.
I'd love to see a line up like Pikachu Greninja Sceptile Charizard/infernape (depending on opponent) Lucario And then you can rotate between any of the other top 10.
Yeah but lucario is also a fighter even better than infernape, so y include infernape. I think u should interchange lucario and infernape based on opponents.
Hey Mystic. Was wondering if you can do a video or series on the worst regions to live in. Like is it Kanto with Pokémon like Zapdos that cause thunderstorms just by flapping it’s wings and hangs out at the local power plant. Or is it Sinnoh with Pokémon like Drifloom thats constantly attempting to kidnap kids for their souls
These are my top five of Ash's strongest pokémon. 1.PIKACHU🐁 2.GRENINJA🐸 3.CHARZARD 🐉 4.INFERNAPE🐒 5.LUCARIO🐺 HOUNOURBLE MENTIONS (SCEPTILE, KROKILDLE, DRAGONITE AND LYCANROC)
I completely agree with you Mystic, but I disagree with the order. Here is mine: 1. Pikachu 2. Greninja 3. Charizard 4. Lucario 5. Sceptile 6. Infernape 7. Incineroar 8. Snorlax 9. Dragonite 10. Krookodile
I always said his best team was: • Pikachu + Electrium Z as a bonus • Greninja (Ash-Greninja) • Charizard • Sceptile • Infernape and a choice between Krookodile, Heracrosss and Snorlax. but now there's also Mega Lucario.
I will never belive this is how it goes. Ashs lycanroc is the ace of the team. No mater how much people say it isn't. I waited my life time waited for a favorite pokemon to come to Ash and I finally found it. After all these years I waited.

Ash’s Charizard should have his own friendship thing with Ash. It’s his strongest Kanto Pokémon and his closest friend besides Pikachu imo. Then it’s Greninja and Lucario
He does have a friendship thing with ash But its not a new form or a new exclusive move They just have a special bond with each other Charizard doesnt need anything else
Ash dream team according to mystic: 1. Pikachu 2. Charizard 3. Ash Greninja 4. Infernape 5. Sceptile 6. Mega Lucario I agree will all of these pokemon I just think greninja is stronger than Charizard but yeah if he uses this team he will breeze through the master tournament which is exactly why I think he'll stick to his journeys team
Another point towards greninja: it took down the roots in his NORMAL form, the root lucario could barely touch and needed to mega evolve to destroy… we have yet to see it’s ash greninja form…
@@infernapeblaze2535 remember when pikachu defeated a ground snake in the early episodes of the anime? Or how about the fact that he has been 10 for 25 years now? As you can see, time is not that big of a factor in the anime
@@ypob2007 That was before the creators of the show were still learning. Pikachu can no longer knock out a ground type with an electric type move without a very logical reason. Ash is still ten years because of the audience, so those arguments do not work. Greninja was already cutting the roots before Ash even became Champion.
@@ypob2007 By the way, I love Greninja and I respect your opinion. I just wanted to say what was in my head since the only thing that battle showed was Greninja's speed and it's more powerful than Lucario. But I don't see how it helps it when it comes to comparing it to Ash's other aces expect a few.
A few Honorable mentions: Heracross Glalie Gliscor Ash has a alot of strong pokemon but he always gives his weaker pokemon a chance during tournaments. I understand gym battles but bro if I wanna win Im running his Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, greninja, Lucario, and incenoroar or Dragonite
Ash's Torracat's evolution into Incineroar contradicts the standards of the anime. Instead of evolving to gain the power to defeat Kukui's Incineroar, its evolution is earned for becoming victorious. I wish we'll see Incineroar battle sometime.
I want to put Greninja in the top 5, but it doesn't really have too much in the way of feats, at least not compared to Sceptile or Charizard, or hell even Lucario. One of the first things people say is that it defeated Dianthas Mega Gardevoir. And that's very impressive... on paper. But in reality, Diantha merely wanted to see the battle bond phenomena, she didnt seem to go all out because of this. And if in fact she was trying hard, she played it horribly (seriously, spamming Shadow Ball instead of Moonblast against a dark type). In terms of actual feats, Wulfrics Mega Abomasnow and Sawyers Mega Sceptile come mind, but nothing really champion or legendary level (unless you really want to count how it was 👌 close to defeating Alains Charizard, which ended up getting dunked on by Leon's Charizard anyway). I'm not denying that Greninja is very, very powerful, certainly top 10 level. I just think we need to see it up against more actually very powerful opponents before we place it above or next to big names like Infernape/Charizard or Sceptile. And for goodness sake replace Cut with Night Slash.
i agree with mystics rankings here although frankly I consider ash's time in unova as a filler between hoenn and kalos, alola, and galar especially since nothing all that interesting happened in unova. One small thing though I'd say that ash's greninja and charizard are tied for his second strongest and that if these two were used together they would basically be unstoppable. the only weakness they share is electric types and few electric types can outspeed greninja (let alone ash-greninja) or outpower charizard. One other thing. With the exception of snorlax, charizard, and goodra ash rarely switches his regionals teams up in the anime so this talk of him doing so for the Master 8 would at the very least be very out of character, besides that it would also be taken as a rebuke to any galar team members he swapped out (by the fans and likely by the pokemon themselves too). Greninja is a water type ninja so its sheer speed and maneuverability would pair almost perfectly with Charizards ability to fly and attack from the sky. In fact one could make a decent argument that greninja is perhaps the only none flying pokemon that wouldn't be at a disadvantage in a sky battle even though it can't itself fly.
What about Kingler? He’s just fantastic and he was so powerful in the Pokémon League. I would probably switch his Torracat Evo with Kingler. I agree with everything else. Cool video
Dumb stuff, kingler isn't even in top 25 of ash Pokemon, listen to all the criteria he mentioned earlier in the video, kingler is decent but not that good either, i loved in the 1st kingler battle though

There are benefits of Pikachu not evolving. It can use its exclusive z move 10 mvt and gmax moves, which Kanto raichu has no access to
You should do a "What if Ash evolved his Pokémon" video. There's one of Ash's Unova Pokémon that I think has the potential to be stronger even than Krookodile: Palpitoad. It's already tanky. It takes hits, and has a fantastic moveset. If it evolved into Seismitoad, I think it would rival, or even surpass Krookodile.
Do you know which Ash's pokemon should definitely evolve? Gible.
The what if should be called what if Ash's wanted to evolve
Also i think his snivy was special and very strong, and even his pignite.
I'm happy that Ash has a mega lucario. Good job writers.
Lucario is ok but many trainers already had that. I think instead of lucario, zoroark would b apt for Ash
@@charston1006 Movie 8, i waited for 15 years.
My Top 10 is pretty easy
1.) Pikachu
2.) Charizard
3.) Greninja
4.) Infernape
5.) Sceptile
6.) Melmetal
7.) Lucario
8.) Dragonite
9.) Snorlax
10.) Krookodile, Lycanroc-D = Tied
I can't put Incineroar on this list because we don't know its battling capabilities as an Incineroar.
Incineroar is ashs strongest Alolan mon, IMO.
Solid choices. Lycanrock could have easily been on here as well. Both it and Torracat were equally strong and won Ash the league.
yeah man
I’m not sure you can put Incineroar on the list based on your standards set, unless we accept what the Pokémon have done before hitting final stage then fair.
Actually inceneroar defeated kuikui's strongest mon
Lycanroc was not even able to defeat braviary as for melmetal it has a lack of screen time and lost miserably on his 2 battles
Donphan's only win was against lucy's seviper
As for heracross it is underrated for sure but his opponents are not even close to be as strong as kuikui's pokemon
As for gengar yeah maybe but don't forget that the Gmax/Dmax is only usable in galar
And without those he is probably his weakest pokemon on his current team
Disagree on Infernape being so high. He's strong for sure, but I feel like he's on the high-end of Ash's E4 level mons, like Snorlax, Krookodile, etc.
I don't think any of his feats warrant him being up there with Ash's legendary or champion fighters like Sceptile, Greninja or Pikachu.
Lmao that's a joke right
Volkner was considered an elite four equivalent level
And paul's electivire clapped pikachu who just tied with Latios the episode after
Infernape would have defeated darkrai aswell if he was used instead of sceptile
And greninja? All it has done was defeating wulfric who was not pointed to be as strong as volkner clair or raihan who are elite four level
And sawyer mega sceptile is probably the weakest of its species
And Paul is obviously stronger than him
And in journey he literally left the lab looking for a stronger opponent than charizard
@@laxusstrauss5945 I agree to u
Infernape confirm training after DP who knows if he have Monkey King power of something
@@kenerb654 well considering Thier feats
Sceptile strongest opponents were claydol and from what we know paul's brother managed to defeat too who is slightly weaker than paul
And darkrai
Infernape defeated luxray who was the ace of volkner considered equal to an elite four
And paul's electivire who was even stronger than pikachu who tied with latios
Charizard is number one hands down its the benchmark for all of ash's other pokemon
Never forget the time that Ash's Snorlax used Six moves in the same battle.
I believe he had something that used 10 or more in one
I would have agreed with you that Infernape comes in 4th had it not been for Infernapes returning episode where it was kinda implied that Infernape beat charizard. I think they’re at least equal in power but after blaze Infernape overtakes charizard
I get this take but it was not implied though is the only thing. I think it just wanted to push itself even further. If anything to me it felt that it didn't bear charizard only that it was close. It felt like Charizard won to me based off the way it was written because if he had won there would be no reason to not say it did.
@@wallywedge968 Yeah, it was heavily implied it hadn't defeated Charizard.
@@wallywedge968 how it was stated that charizard defeated it when Gary literally said that infernape left the lab looking for a worthy fire type than those he battled
If it had lost to it it would be to important to note mention it on the episode
they didn't imply it beat charizard.
Yeah! Sceptile is really strong, but.... Let's not forget grovyle lose to a luvdisc🤣🤣

People sleeping on Gengar. G-Max Gengar is definitely one of Ash's top 10 Pokemon.
His top Pokemon:
1) Greninja (Battle Bond)
2) Pikachu (Z-Move)
3) & 4) Charizard or Blaze Infernape
5) Lucario (Mega & Gigantic Aura Sphere)
6) Gengar (G-Max)
7) & 8) Sceptile or Incineroar
9) Snorlax
10) Krookadile
Runner-up: Dragonite
Ash's Charizard effortlessly steamrolled through 3 of Gary's Pokemon, one of which was his ace, Blastoise; his Blastoise, in Journeys, later performed far better against Moltres than base Infernape.
Pikachu, Greninja, Charizard, Sceptile, Lucario and Snorlax would be such a good team for Ash to use.
I think the top 10 Strongest Ash Pokemon 10, Krookidillo 9: Incinaroar or Lycanroc 8, Dragonite 7, Snorlax 6, Secptile 5, Mega Lucario 4, Infernape 3, AshGreninja 2, Charizard 1, Pikachu with honorary mentions to Heracross Starapter Naganadul and Talonflame.
And the gible that ate a shadow punch and bullied piplup if that thing were to return and become a garchomp tho >->
Nah, Lycanroc would be 9 and Incineroar would be 8.
@@marilynlucero9363 decades? What?
Time basically doesn’t exist in Pokémon I mean ash is still a freaking 10 yr old
@@marilynlucero9363 Charizard has been training for way longer, yes, but Greninja has *arguably* been under much harsher, and therefore more effective training, what with the Negative Roots and probably Zygarde.

One thing you do have right tho is it’s a disservice to not bring his older Pokémon back
What about Kingler? He’s just fantastic and he was so powerful in the Pokémon League. I would probably switch his Torracat Evo with Kingler. I agree with everything else. Cool video
