This is definitely Danny's trademark song. No one can sing it better than him.
But Kirk Talley was a great tenor/songwriter with the Cathedrals.
I have to admit, you guys aged very well! You STILL have that voice I came to love so much! I can never get enough of listening to you sing those great gospel songs!!

Danny Funderburk is the best tenor of the Cathedrals with no second thoughts would love to meet him.
Ernie Haase is my favorite, but yes, he can't take anything away from Danny.

You're right. Ernie Haase and Signature Sound is his group.
I think Ernie and the surviving past members of the Cathedrals get together at times for singing events.

3 of my four favorite Tenors sang for the Cathedrals. Danny, Kirk Talley and Ernie Haas but Rosie To sell was the best tenor I have heard. I heard him sing Oh What a Savior that was written for Rosie to sing or that is the story I know. Danny and Kirk wrote a lot of songs between the two of them for the Cathedrals. I know Kirk had some issues he was dealing with in his life but I still love his songs and hearing him sing them. Many turned their back on him in the business when he needed his friends the most. I understand he has a medical condition with his vocal cords now that he will never sing again and my even lose his voice altogether but God can Heal and I pray that God heals him completely. I want to here him sing again.

Not a bad rendition of Somebody Touched Me. However, I believe the Calvarymen did a better job.
Listen to vintage Danny Funderburk in the mid-80s with The Cathedrals, and I promise you that you’ll change your opinion. He doesn’t have the range and power that he once did because of the health issues, but this is Danny’s signature song, end of discussion.
