This is my dad's all-time favourite Cathedrals song- and that's saying something, because he absolutely loved the Cathedrals! He didn't have a least favourite Cathedrals song, haha. He passed unexpectedly in 2010, but he left an amazing legacy of Christian love and joy. God bless you, Dad, God bless the Cathedrals, and I can only pray I show others as much love and charity as he did. 💖💖💖💖💖
I feel im in heaven already every time i listen to this song! VERY POWERFUL SONG OF PRAISE!! to GOD be all the golry and honor and praise, our CHAMPION OF LOVE!!!
Ivan Parker and I wrote Champion Of Love for our 5th anniversary in 1977. Ivan's favorite film was the original Rocky movie that came out earlier that year. This song was his idea to write. The first verse was written in Lichtenesch. I wrote the chorus in Sweitzendeutch. Then it goes into Letzeberguesh. Then I wrote the second verse in Hungarian. The last line was written in Czech. Then the chorus was translated into Flemange. Then the chorus switches into Flemish. The next chorus is in Italian. Then it goes into Maltese. The descant part is in German. The next chorus is in Genoese. Then it goes into Dutch. The descant part is in Germon. The next part is written in Zealandic. Then it goes into Danish. Then it goes into Physche and then into Moravian. Then it goes into Baask and finishes in French.
Ivan Parker and I wrote Champion Of Love for our 5th anniversary in 1977. We did our music writing on December 3rd that year because I was in the hospital on our actual anniversary. The song was written in Lichtenesch. The language switches to Sweitzendeutch at the end of the chorus. The next verse is written in
Since someone badly wants to keep Champion Of Love suppressed, I will stop for now. But I am upset that the copyright was stolen off my monitor channel. I was only 10 at the time! The stealing of music copyrights makes me angry!!
Praise be to God Almighty, He's king of the Kings. He who has everything and the one who made the Heavens and the Earth and everything that dwell in them.Hossana in the Highest!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes, Scot Fowler is so under rated...he's right up there with the best...I thought his solo was far better than Gerald (who also excels in so many areas of gospel music).
@@chinolopez4325 So sad, but he still has a "big voice" in the world of Gospel Music...love his Hymn Sings. Thankfully does not affect his ability to play the piano...beautifully.
There is no problem about that champion of love the problem is if how do we understand the champion of love, and the way he works through championship of love.
Unpopular opinion here... I absolutely love the Cathedrals, Legacy Five, Greater Vision, GVB, and all the rest. I grew up on this music and I still listen to it on a weekly basis. Great men, great vocalists, wonderful music. BUT, it drives me absolutely crazy when they sing their solos a full beat or two BEHIND the music. It's probably just my ADHD combined with my OCD, but stay on beat guys! LOL. Once or twice for emphasis, sure. But not the entire solo! :) Sorry, just got to me today.
When the Cathedrals first got this song, Glen wasn't really all in on recording it. He felt that it was too contemporary and wasn't the style that the group was known for. Obviously he was talked into it and it became one of their best songs.
+Jeffrey Abatayo II Scott started with the Cathedrals and formed his current group legacy 5 in 1999 when the Cathedrals retired. He has only been with two quartets but he does play bass guitar for a lot of groups during the National Quartet Convention.

I LOVE THIS SONG, BECAUSE, IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!
The bass note at the end was extremely clean
danholcomb91 that my good sir is the man by the name of Matt Fouch. He's easily top 5 bass singers of this generation
He is indeed! I do miss Glenn Dustin singing with Legacy Five, but I also love Matt. To bad he's a little underrated :(
Lucas Bitencourt Matt ties at #1 of my favorite bass singers. Paul Harkey is the other
I love both! My Top 5 would also include Eric Bennett, Pat Barker and Randy Byrd.
Lucas Bitencourt I disagree on Pat. I think he’d be a better baritone than bass.
history has been singed by these guys across the ages... God bless the people then still alive. Lord was praisen by the voices of them.
seems like Fowler hits that big note at the end a little easier than Wolfe does. both sing this song like no one else can. simply the best.

Gerald is my fave, that's all. 😉
Bc of his heart, his witness, his caring for others, Gerald is also my favorite, too. Hands down!
@@23Josilee because during that time he is starting to loose his voice.

At the beginning, Scott sounds like a very good Jean ValJean!
Scott is so under-valued...truly wonderful lead singer...and he's such a happy, positive person.
I wonder if they will do Boundless Love with everyone from their groups just like the Cathedrals did back in 1995.
I know right
The bass man landed like a plane on the runway...lol
Does anyone know when this song was written and for whom?
+americanswan it was written in 1987, Gerald Wolfe was the first choice to sing it. It was included on the London album.
Written By Phil Cross

where can I get the tracks
I think the guy in the middle is Scott Fowler
Yes it is Scott.
travis simpson Ohhhh I get it u know Scott Fowler is almost in every Christian band
Jeffrey Abatayo II Christian band sound stoo modern, call it gospel God anointed group.
+Jeffrey Abatayo II Scott started with the Cathedrals and formed his current group legacy 5 in 1999 when the Cathedrals retired. He has only been with two quartets but he does play bass guitar for a lot of groups during the National Quartet Convention.
+Travis M Simpson He started with the Sound then joined the Cathedrals.
Anyone else prefer Gerald Wolfe singing this?
Nope, I prefer Scott.
Ang mas magaling yung na unang golden angels concert
Scott is putting on those wrinkles. ;)
I DO NOT LIKE NOR DO I APPROVE THE AD OF Kamala Harris’.
Sorry, but I prefer christian music.
One of my favourite hymns but this was awful
