Bro I lowkey feel so bad for my friends who are new and have no cosmetics And are forced to buy re-colored skins in the store for like 20$ each when you could just get that from a free loot box in overwatch 1 😭😭😭
I’ve said it in other comment sections, but I find there to be something so wrong about a multi-million dollar gaming titan selling in-game skins for an upward of $20 each, when really all you, the player who bought it get is a slight hand and gun change.
At least when I play Warframe, the skins are like, $7, and the game is in third-person, so I can see the entirety of the skin I bought, not just a hand and gun.

just stop buying skins, when you buy skins they get an ROI from the game. you buy one skin for 20 dollars thats the price of a single overwatch 1 copy back in the day. you are buying overwatch 1 again everytime you buy a skin. this is why they feel like they can get away with doing fuck all. they do no work and people still buy skins. vote with your money, buy the skins when the game gets actual support.

Blizzard literally took a game they already had, and made it worse.
It takes a well-educated PR team, corrupt and scummy businessmen, and incredibly ignorant and arrogant devs to pull off what OW2 did.
People already thought OW1 had awful dev communication, but they really took it to the next level and ruined the game on all fronts and not just from a gameplay perspective.

Yes, but sometimes even this illusion of progress doesn't work because sometimes you get depromoted more ranks than you earned throughout the whole 2 months season when you just don't want to play and they make you to play to increase online. And after entering season 3 you end up in bronze when you were gold in season 1. Why? Because rank drops after season 1+from season 2+from season 3. It's just unbelievably stupid and it's easier to register a new account if that happens

About the shop prices, raider didn’t really nitpick it as much as I thought he would, but the shop is literally a scam and a crummy business tactic, they’re literally baiting newer players that don’t know any better into paying $20 for Legendary skins that have come out years ago, and like raider said, I think most people would be down to pay for NEW SKINS that come out every so often.
Or just include the skins that match the event in the BP instead of putting a $20 price on a cyberpunk skin in S1. I'd be willing to pay $30 for the BP if it did that instead of giving us skins that don't even match the event/season.
Or a better idea, have an easier access to coins oh wait they already addressed it

That is definitely the main reason for doing a sequel in the first place as far as I'm concerned.
You can't really update the monetisation in OW1 cause how are you gonna start asking for more money for the same product after people have already bought it.

They just cancelled the PVE mode that was hyped up for OW2s release. Now there’s no reason In calling it OW2 now lol

i loved overwatch 1. still haven't touched ow2 since it came out. it's just not worth it. no lfg, single tank has way too much sway, supports in a terrible spot (and i was a support main in ow1.) not to mention the fortnite wannabe battlepass, and the huge influx of new players and young kids.
i'll just stick to watching the occasional update video, thanks. praying for an overwatch alternative that isn't the buggy mess that is paladins, please and thank you.

There's such an easy way to fix the old skin issues, if new players want them just add a wish list feature so they can select like a minimum of 2 and it'll be given to them the next day in their shop reccomendstions or something damn, so the shop can have new stuff
I think its funny that all the creators said Overwatch 2 was instantly better because its balanced but because of only having 1 tank balance is absolutely horrendous. Hitscan dps are uncontested, meta tanks feel unkillable, and if you're playing a non meta support character you're playing dead by daylight cause you're constantly getting targeted no matter how good your positioning is and literally every match I played was just me steamrolling or getting steamrolled making every match an absolute sweatfest.

I’d say the problem with OW2 in a nutshell is that the OG creators, Papa Jeff n the likes, none of them are still there. The people that _are_ there, this game isn’t “their baby”. They literally do not care about it nearly to the degree it’s original designers do. They see it as an easy cash grab. _”Get in, get done, get paid, get out.”_ is their business model and the game is collapsing in on itself because of it.

I gave up on Overwatch 2, I just couldn't take it anymore. I made an attempt to stick with it and even try to complete the 1st battle pass, since I got it for free cause of Overwatch 1, but it's just not worth it. Nothing about the game is worth it, not even to enjoy the gameplay since they wanna lock heroes, so can't even enjoy that now. And the spit in the face that made me decide that the game can go screw itself, is when I saw Bro You Wack purchase the entire battle pass from lvl 1, just to do a Genji skin showcase video. He can just write it off, so he's good on money, but the problem is that idiots like him are gonna be why Blizzard won't change anything. Just cause you can write it off as a content creator, doesn't mean you didn't add to the problem that the game is already suffering from, you're just making it worse for the rest of us.
I loved Overwatch, but it's been made very clear that Blizzard doesn't, so I'm playing other games instead. Here's hoping it gets better, but I don't see that happening anymore.

Start out with a 88% win rate with 35 wins in and all of a sudden me and my boy keep playing and by the end of the night we were down to a 62% winrate. Its absolutely nuts how obvious they are about forcing a 50% on you

One think that really frustrates me is that ow 2 looks and feels like a worst version of Ow 1. They eliminated a lot of cool things that made the game it's own aesthetic and personality. Then there is the problem of the skins like you sayed in the video. One big reason I played to ow 1 with my friends was to farm money to get the coolest skins for the characters we liked the most, now I can't even do that so what's the point of playing, the ranking? Even that it's shit because you get a bad matchmaking. I'm really sad how this game turned out to be, let's hope they fix it. Anyway cool video as always, my man Raider speaks the truth 👍🏻

I literally left another game (Destiny 2) that tried adding a sbmm in their comp playlist with RANKS in it. To just come to learn how to play overwatch 2 and have another similar sbmm system in place. It’s so annoying getting to my last two placements duo qued with my friend or solo and get gold tanks when I’m diamond 3 against an enemy tank that’s diamond 1 for 5 games straight. I recently dropped from diamond 3 to plat 2, and it just stopped me from playing for the past two days. I’ve been playing Cassidy a lot recently cause I like playing him and had a 70% win rate on him. Now that I dropped ranks my Cassidy win rate has dropped to literally 52%. Blizzard forced that win rate on me which is so dumb, never would’ve thought something with a ranked competitive system would feel like quick play.
Samito had custom 6v6 games the other day and it looked like so much fun since double shield is fixed with the orissa rework
Between playing OW2 and getting circumcised again I would hesitate to choose.

The matchmaking is the number 1 issue for me. As soon as o hit masters 3 my MMR tanked and I would get gold/play tanks on my team against masters/gm tanks. It’s actually insane that the matchmaking is able to match you with players you could never group with. I’d say less than 5% of my matches are actually close and competitive, 95% are just one team rolling the other. I’m okay with a 10 min queue time if it means a fair game.

I feel like there’s another skin problem when it comes to equally spreading skins for all hero’s, like how Widow and Roadhog have 2 event skins in the start of the game and how Pharah has two battle pass skins. This is not even including the first season hero skins from second season hero skins Rein, Junker Queen, Genji, Hanzo, Mei, Sojourn, Soildier, Symmetra, Tracer, Lucio, Kiriko, and Mercy just usally feels the same when it comes to the shop

This video said everything I’ve been saying, If they just added back everything from overwatch 1 into ovrewatch 2 it would deadass be 10x better. By season 5 all the things they removed are gonna slowly be added back to make it seem like it’s “and update” so they can get brownie points from all these new players. From bug fixes to broken characters to “new skins.” While we of players have to sit back and just watch a game get essentially regressed again.
I’ll admit it, I got so bored of playing legit I started using hahcks and getting 3-5ks with widow instant head shots and trolling the lobbies getting banned over and over. Then I got bored of using hahcks and I quit the game, from an OG player with around 2k total hours I am disgusted with the state of ow2, absolutely a downgrade and it’s incredibly boring... very disappointed and twitch viewership is like down by 200% there’s only 15k ow2 viewers on twitch rn

I’ve been done with Blizzard since Overwatch 2’s launch, months later and There hasn’t been anything to draw me back in. I've pretty much moved completely to TF2, Valve doesn't care about the player base, but at least the community is pretty chill, the game is as close to balance as your gonna get for a multiplayer game and I can buy new cosmetics on the community market for less than 50 cents “most of the time”.
I stopped playing video games completely and started reading and writing instead. But ill come back for a gs raider video. I miss overwatch 1, but I cant bring myself to play this game. Glad you found something you can enjoy doing.

The way to fix the skin situation was make lootboxes a thing again and making some skins exclusive to the battlepass or buyable and added to loot boxes the next year they do the event so they don't recycle content

Some words about matchmaking in season 2: last week I played on gold 3 healing with 1 master and 1 grandmaster in my team, enemy team was gold. And we fuckung lost because of pharah torb. We clutched 1 round very fast and enemies were so angry they picked 2 most noob heroes to just win.
And what you may ask? Well, the thing is that people just tired of losing and not getting promoted in ranked so they pick noob champs just to finish this suffering
