sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Aries Ahmad thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
This is one of those solos that shows the importance of phrasing, that's why I like 70's guitar players so much better because they're praising was beautiful and I think that's actually where the story is told. Shredding is more like speed reading and somewhere in there the emphasis of the story is lost. But it is fun.
Thank you for lesson of this classic Richie Sambora solo,i am playing thi solo for a long time but now i realise that i was playing it wrong ! GOD job !! Keep on rockin !!
Hi everyone! Next lesson will be a fun solo from Van Halen, and don't forget - it's not too late to get in on the MXR EVH Phase 90 giveaway! ruclips.net/video/dTF8zjAfK78/видео.html
@@Charvel1980 Hey dude, thanks! As for the giveaway, the winner will be contacted around the end of the month. I will notify them by replying to their comment on that video directly, stating they are the winner, and then hash out a way to get in contact.
Such a killer solo. One of my all time favorites. Also a playable one for intermediate soloist, as you noted. Maybe you can take on the one from Let it Rock down the line, it smokes.
Woohoo! PDX!!! This is a great Cover indeed!..Most people don't know that Bon Jovi's guitarist was Dave Sabo. (Dave left Bon Jovi and went to Skid Row) and the replacement guitarist was "Richie Sambora". Richie I remember was trying to find gigs with everyone at the time, don't quote me but I think it was 1982/83. I didn't know Richie, but I had friends that had seen him around New York at different spots showing off his chops. (Richie was more of a melodic type soloist-but could scream if he wanted to). After Richie hooked into Bon Jovi they took off big time!.......The combination of RIchie's playing, guitar technique and his backing vocals with Johnny, launched them into Stardom !....As usual Mr. PDX- YOU nailed this ! Great coverage and great video! Bravo Sir!... Bravo!
Hey Jim! Thanks for the nice words, and for calling out the historical details for everyone. You have to wonder if Sabo was initially kicking himself once Bon Jovi took off, since Skid Row didn't really "make it" until 1989. You also have to wonder how Bon Jovi would have been different with him versus Richie. I definitely can't imagine this particular song without Richie, that's for sure. Anyway, thanks again bro! :)
@@PDXguitarfreak Thank you for responding, I hope you don't mind my responses. I've been around awhile and have met many of the top guitarists in real life, trying myself for 3 years early on to get into the grove but giving it all up for love ( A HUGE Mistake lol). Just a little reboot of knowledge here, Jon Bon Jovi was ready to call it quits in the music industry. Hooking up with Sambora was his last try. (Bon Jovi had people mostly writing for him, but once Richie was hired, things changed. The Powers that be noticed Sambora had something and with Bon Jovi it worked for them. Jon had the voice but kinda like Pete Townshend had to guide Roger Daultry, Sambora helped Jon. So many people just don't understand that Ballard's Hit Home with mostly everyone. Add to that Sambora's style of play and you have the Magic that works.... As Eric Clapton once said, "Sometimes 1 note is all you need". Speed is fun, but the Power of the 1 and it's all Done! (hey that rhymes) I would like to see you do your own cover here sometime soon! ...I know you have the skills, you have the fan base here. I like that last solo you did (I've sent that to friends and waiting) Please Kind Sir..... Give us one of your own 3 minute songs. If you do country I have a killer country voice, similar bass to the singer David Michael Draiman. I hate to say this, rock fans will cringe, but Country is just drooling and waiting for its next heroes.
Thanks, David! I currently do not have such a website, but I've been thinking about doing that. :) At this point, I tell people the best approach (if they want the tabs as I created them), is to do screen shots/captures and print those out.
This is awesome. Some tabs & videos I've seen don't capture the subtleties you did here. One comment for your tabs - at about the 4:12 mark, the first and second note of that last section. If you listen to Richie play the solo at half speed, you can make out a really quick 0-3-0 pulloff on the D string as opposed to just hitting the 3-D and the 5-A string notes to start that run, so 3 notes really quickly instead of the two you have here. It then picks right back up with the last 6 notes you have in that part. Good stuff!
Love it but there's so much secret sauce stuff here! Any suggestions for someone on clean Fender with no effects experience? I can't even reproduce that very first slide down the fretboard. Thanks!
I never knew how simple n easy this solo is! I mean.... I knew it wasn't demanding. I knew it wasn't Eruption VH. But I never knew it was this basic! 🤷♂️ It goes to show, a good solo is in the composition, not the finger-nastics !

You're the best at teaching Solo's. Love the tabs. You make it look easy. Would you be able to do White Lion Lonely Nights Solo?
Hey thanks Mike! :) That's a cool solo too. I would like to do that .. the list is getting long so I can't promise it will be soon.
@@PDXguitarfreak Thank you!
Just GREAT - Thank you
Good tutorial... well played
Another great lesson, spot on🎸🤘. Do you have a link/website to download the tabs to print out?

Artificial Harmonic all the way baby!!! xD Great lesson as always!

Can`t stand Bon Jovi, and yet this is one of my favourite solos...

YES!
Nice
I never knew how simple n easy this solo is!
I mean.... I knew it wasn't demanding. I knew it wasn't Eruption VH. But I never knew it was this basic!
🤷♂️ It goes to show, a good solo is in the composition, not the finger-nastics !
First solo you've done I can play already. Sort of 🤘
Yeah I figured this one was probably easier and more well known by many, but I still thought it would be fun :) Thanks for watching Macaroon! :)
nice
Hey bro, thank you as always! : )
The intro is a classic blues arpeggio in D with 2 .
Solo use minor pentatonic scale. I think Richie copy intro from finger style blues
Solo is so raunchy with the pinch harmonics
