Ok, for you guys in a 2022 International LT625, Cummins X15, Automatic, this is the procedure for “Parked Regen” Step 1: Press the break pedal, Push in Tractor Parking Break. Step 2: Place Automatic Transmission in Drive Step 3: Place Automatic Transmission in Neutral, Pull Tractor Parking Break Step 4: Release Break Pedal, Press “Parked Regen” Momentary Switch, if done correctly Green LED Will be On and truck will Immediately idle up. During the Process, you will see the “High Exhaust Temperature” Light come on on the instrument cluster this is normal, and shows that it is working. Yes, it is finally working! After 1hr 24minutes process complete on this truck! Sometimes if you want it done right you gotta do it yourself, so I did!
Try this. In park, with parking break set, in neutral. Turn off Cruise Control, then turn it back on. And press Resume. Should then throttle up to about 800rpms. And if you hold Resume should ldle up. Give that a go…
@@PhillipTalmadge it’s doing a exhaust burn off. It will happen every time you idle for a long period of time and then after it’s done, it will go back down to normal.
So, can you set your tractor brake when done, or do you have to leave it off? If you're in a cold climate, leaving your trailer brake set will cause them to freeze and stick. Causing a bigger issue in the morning.
I’m in a 2022 International LT625 Automatic X15 Cummins, Penske that we started renting 12/2021 with 200 miles on it and as today 19 February 2023 currently only 49,951 miles, but 2727 Engine Hours. I have never had to do any of that stuff. Just press the Cruise Control On Button, then press the Resume button and “Engine Throttle” will appear on the instrument cluster, and idle will self set at 800rpms. If I want a higher idle, I just need to press and hold Resume to reach desired rpm. When I first started driving this I did find out that with out setting Cruise Control, it would shut down, but I always set Cruise, so I guess I didn’t even think about it much, because the fix was easy, ya know?
2023 international LT -Turn on truck all the way. -Press in parking brake. -Press cruise on button, release -then hold "set" button - pull parking brake - release "set" button when "engine throttle" on dash appears
700 rpm is way to slow not enough oil PSI If the no idle is not working You have bad batteries or a bad connection My 22 with currently 167000 miles is in its 3 set of rear batteries
Just put the truck on auto start and the sleeper climate control on and I promise you that truck will start and stop all night. This can ruin something with the truck. I forgot what it was.
Thanks. This worked for me. I have a 19 international LT

Some trucks have a park lock out idle unfortunately fleet trucks by some companies have been setup like this
My engine is stuck at a high throttle now. How do i turn it back down
It’s probably trying to regenerate after it sits at idle
2023 international LT
-Turn on truck all the way.
-Press in parking brake.
-Press cruise on button, release
-then hold "set" button
- pull parking brake
- release "set" button when "engine throttle" on dash appears
Worked for me in a 2022. funny enough, a friend had a 2024/3 i can’t remember but this didn’t work for him
I have the new 23 now and still works
Wont work on my 2024
How do u reset the idle the next day my truck idle to high
My is doing the same now. I don't know how to fix it
Thank you
This does not work for a 2025 so international must have seen enough of these videos and changed it again.
I'm in 2022 and it didn't work. I need it because I'm on CPAP.
Didn't work for 2024 model
You do t need to do any of that… just park and set your cruise and you’ll see the engine throttle display.. and that’s it.. truck will not turn off..
Not on every truck sir some fleet trucks have lock out idle.
Out of fuel with half a tank ain’t no way
700 rpm is way to slow not enough oil PSI If the no idle is not working You have bad batteries or a bad connection My 22 with currently 167000 miles is in its 3 set of rear batteries
Get dummy you don't need much oil pressure at Idle speed and Cummins are designed to run low anyways, read the Cummins owners manual first

No it won’t lol.
