Thank goodness for editing! I think filming more frequently will help you. I find that if I stop filming for months I'm a bit more rusty. As for making money on Medium. You can still write as a free member (I'm taking a bit of a break atm) but it seems like earnings significantly drop! I received 3 cents for my latest story which prob would have been worth more had I been a member. Doesn't matter. I'll be a paying member soon enough! It is good to support other writers but I'm not a natural reader, and I have too many other things I want to focus on atm. Anyway, happy filming! Please don't be disheartened if you don't make it to 1k subs as soon as you would like. To put it in perspective... I have released an insane amount of Shorts over the years and I'm still only at 1400 subs 😅 As for 4000 watch hours, my RUclips friend is doing very well where subscribers are concerned (12k+!) but has struggled to get more than 3000 watch hours! Getting to 1,000 is a nice goal but I now that I can't control that so I am not too worried. All I can do is continue to show up, put out videos that I enjoy making and see how it goes. Just like you are doing. As long as it remains fun, that's great. Though I definitely do want to make money from this.
