I have two grey , a lemon breasted and green singers and they all sing happily at the same time full blast esp in breeding condition, my friends always complaint they are so loud and irritating but we loved all our birds and we have to keep them in separate room when friends came over ha ha ha .
I have a flock of Green Singers. Love this little songster..They r very good parent birds too. But can be very agressive w male/male housing &/or once the babies r fledged.. I keep all mine in only paired/or more female than male situations of 3 birds. Grown babies MUST be housed separate or fear parent mutilation.. Adult GS are happiest in large flight cages with some flight time in a secure room or they will get outside lost-or fly into windows & get hurt. The round cage is too confining & makes them insecure--They love to fly & move. Originally from Africa-- Look on Wikipedia for info. You can find Finch Clubs that will help you find a lovely Green Singer to parent. Be good to the little songster. They are sensitive & delicate & love to have a large flight cage--Stay away from buying a small decorative cage. Only house same sex birds, or a paired male & female that like each other or they can fight to the death..Becareful if they breed..Although they are great parents..breeding can cause agressive problems &/or result in too many birds.--If you get only one bird, it is your responsibility to be its bonded companion. Interact with it daily & keep its water & seed clean & fresh or it will die on you.----member National Finch & Softbill Society-NFSS
Grey Singer is hard to find here in Texas but I found my 2 green singers @ a popular pet supply chain called Petsmart. I paid $75.00 U.S.D. for one & $40.00 U.S.D. for the other ( on sale)!!!
