The funniest part is god of war has unskippable cutscenes, like most other games you can skip, god of war does not let you. So it’s funnier knowing that as he one an award with unskipable cutscenes so he gave us one

9:30 I didn't watch the Game Awards, so when I saw the trailer for Hades II in my recommendations I had two initial reactions. One was extreme excitement over the fact that my favorite roguelike of all time was getting a sequel.
The other was excitement to see Shen's horniness destroy her utterly for the second time.

I didn’t either, stumbling across it and decided I need to go back! I refuse to go into the ‘easy’ mode they created, even though it’s expertly done. I spent 50 runs before I realized it existed.

I'm glad that Arcane got that award. There was a lot of good game adaptations but Arcane REALLY went above and beyond with the animation and music.

15:18 For the people that don't know why Shen and crew talked like this about Genshin impact and why they stopped playing the game. That is because they got overwhelmed with asking hear to play it and how she should play it and what to pull and other stuff i don't know. There were also the donations to pull which didn't go well because Shen has problems with gambling games but I don't know for sure correct me if I am wrong.
was kinda curious about that (thogh it was just sheep hate train, since it's genshin and bashing it is free views) but never got the real why since i havent getting the chance to see any streams lately.

tbf, Genshin has real issues, especially with how scummy it is. The game is designed to become a boring grindfest if you don't fork over your cash.
Really Sucks to see. Though I gotta admit, it does hurt to see them blindly hate on the game itself when I love it dearly but I can completely get where she's coming from.
Toxic fans are the worst part of any community. I hated undertale years cuz fans left a bad taste in my mouth.
I was confused too because I thought she liked the game. I enjoyed her playthrough but never tuned in on streams. I guess thats really unfortunate since she was one of the people that got me excited to play it.

So, main character in Hades 2, is Melinoe. I'm not too familiar with her in Greek mythology, and I'm guessing it depends on which story you wanna go by, but apparently she's the daughter of Hades and Persephone, and she's the Goddess of nightmares and madness.

Im glad we can come to the recency bias awards, and both look foward to it and be entirely indifferent at the same time.
I saw a video where Victor Lucas (a long-time game reviewer) argued that the awards should be moved to January of next year.
For him, it's a release schedule issue. Games released in December are unlikely to be discussed at the Game Awards of the same year.
And even though the awards are supposed to include December releases of the previous year, those releases could still be forgotten after months of other new releases.

Funny story: when I saw Bandai Namco and the red fires, there were 3 games going through my head: Code Vein, Dark Souls and Scarlett Nexus.
Then I saw the mechs and I may have screamed a bit from excitement.
Some of the reactions I’ve seen sounded like the viewers were straight-up returning to monke on the spot when they saw the ‘mechs.

The only thing I'll say that Disappointed me in the game awards is that Xenoblade chronicles 3 didn't win any awards, even though I think it 100% earned every single one it got nominated for.
Though, I'm not suprised it didn't win anything. Despite how good the game is, It's very obscure, and the 90% of voting power that the jury has probably didn't play it. or at least very few of them did.
At that point, why even bother to put JRPGs in that award? Many of them are good but it's going to be (almost immediately) beaten by a western game that they play anyway lol.
... Yes, I'm still a bit salty Xenoblade 3 didn't win soundtrack award even though the game has many gorgeous OSTs.

@@Al_N_Infer I'd personally disagree, but that ties into the big problem about trying to determine one "Game of the year" when everyone has a different opinion on what that should be.
So in my eyes, there weren't better choices, but that viewpoint doesn't apply to everyone. All I was really hoping for was for it to get one award at least for the sake of recognition.
