@etahhcumosevahi skill is not the issue. It's the intangibles that have prevented this team from winning the last 30 years. No forecheck, no sustained offensive pressure. Skill is the only reason they're even here. they can still compete with less offensive output because they have great finishers. But that's never enough and never will be.
Lol...so if they come out with fire then coaching is great...and flat coaching not mentioned. The coaching angle is utter bs....the randomness and fast play is much more of a,dominant factor.
I’m a die hard rangers fan, but florida is just a better team. Starting a series getting out classed and outplayed like that in game 1 sucked. For most of the game it was 1-0 and the game really didn’t look that close. Game 2 is a must win if rangers have any chance
Definately, score should of been 3 or 4 zip after one.
I think the Rangers are going to go for broke in game 2. If the Panthers still manage to sustain it and pull off the win, they'll go down 3-0 via the next game.
Take away Kreiter's heroics from game 6, the Rangers have played flat in 6 of the last 8 periods (spanning 2.5 games). That won't work against Florida! Hopefully that'll change in the series for the better

Been hearing this a lot from Rangers fans saying they need Rempe and to get physical. No doubt this works against most teams, but not us. Ask the Bruins how that played out. We don't get out done there 😊
Anyone saying remoe is the solution… he’s one dude, who barely plays 10-15 mins a game… he’s not changing the entire culture of your team
The only way he can change anything is if he's put in to take a run at Bennett and ready to take a suspension. Otherwise 1 or 2 scrums in front of the net isn't gonna change the way the cats play.
Who thinks he's going to change the entire culture?? Nobody. No one thinks he's the solution to everything. The idea is that he might help. He might be a better option than another forward. That's it.
@@humanbeing2420 again, one forward making a dirty hit and getting ejected and possibly suspended doesn’t change the complexion of a series. If that dude on the other hand, is PLAYOFF SAM BENNETT scoring big goals and making big plays each and every shift multiple shifts then you can say you have a guy who shifts the culture of your team. @@humanbeing2420 the problem for me is he needed more time in the regular season. I think he can be deadly for us in front of the net screening goalies. But he's not developed enough to warrant enough ice time. Laviolette won't play him the minutes he would need imo. Next year he should be a regular skater.
@@zachlesk5685 well that's pretty obvious. If he was on Bennetts level he'd be a staple in the lineup. People want him in because he brings energy to the crowd. I say one more crack at it with Chytil. If you go down 2-0 were probably fucked anyway so might as well throw him in at that point.

Stop it. You don't bench your Vezina winning goalie after just one bad game. He's been fantastic all season and kept us in game 6 and countless other games all season.
Jones and Rempe in for Gus and Wennberg please. We need a spark of youthful energy. We havent realistically played well all playoffs which is weird to say when we are in the conference championship.

Jones absolutely needs to play. They need a speed guy on the back end that can retrieve pucks quickly and take it the other way. Canes are a bad match up for the Rangers but Florida is even worse for them. They woulf fair better against the Stars honestly. This was always gonna be their toughest test of the playoffs.
That's why rangers are considered worst team out of 4 before this series started. Linemakers are very smart
@georgebrennan2576 it's not even being smart. Anyone who knows hockey knows the Panthers are a better playoff team overall. Rangers can still win the series. But it was always gonna be with them playing their absolute best for 4 games with no room for error. Cats on the other hand don't need to be perfect.

Team played flat and scared to get hit ,no energy ,no gritty play and not enough shots , team needs size , gritty players and some mean players they are too small and do nothing vs bigger teams
If your gonna throw Rempe in do it the right way. Playing a few minutes wont change much. Have him take a run at Bennett or tkachuk. Like a real run and let him get suspended. Make a statement that we wont get bitched around. This team needs forechecking. They have none. Cant keep the puck in the offensive zone. Thats been their problem the last 20 years. Play in your own end the whole game and hope you bury the few chances you get each game. Recipe for disaster. And well it always ends in disaster. But series aint over lets see what they can do in game 2.

Rempe plays 6 minutes a game. The last 2 or 3 games he threw 1 hit. He's not changing the tempo of the game against Florida with limited ice time.
