Love how you broke everything down in the most easy to understand way possible, as a middle school percussionist, this is easy to understand and a ton of fun to learn!
I like the quality of your new camera set up and the laid back approach to teaching the licks. I hope the young guys will take advantage of this resource. Keep up the great work Ryan.
It is pretty awesome and I would def recommend it. I haven't utilized the articulation disk in a video yet, but it sounds really awesome and feels great to play on.
I love the fact you play both rapidly as well as slowly. The greatest aid for me is the written notation of this hybrid. When deciding whether or not to subscribe though, your shirt tipped the scales for me. Well played, snarescience.
I literally learned this rudiment that I have been trying to learn for at least a month now in an hour because of this video. It's sloppy, but cleaning shouldn't be a problem. Thanks :)
Well, our band director plays everything. but he was in drum corp so he decided to teach the percussion section advanced stuff, both flam drags and double stroke :)
My Brain is sad! I've never started a book report with an accented diddle, or in sixteen notes, i've always plated them in triplet form and the flam accented rather than the first diddle. Your variation is so much easier and yet my brain keeps reverting back to the triplet version. Anyways, it makes for a completely different excursive, try out!
I wish this channel never died
Same

These videos just keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work!

I added a link to it in the description. The shirt was designed by a snarescience forum member and is for sale in his Zazzle store.
Thanks Tyler! Kudos for tackling these advanced rudiments as a middle school student. I had never heard of a flam drag at that age. :)
Thank you Dennis!
Beautiful
great video and book report instruction. Hardest rudiment i've tackled but sounds awesome.

Josef Wassermann scojo invader V3
Very funny,I like it.
I want that shirt in a 3XL.
Have you guys tried any of the new xymox pads? I think you guys would get great views and feedback if you put out product reviews
The only rudiments are a primary stroke, a flam, and a diddle, so technically, you've covered them all! haha
You're giving me more stuff to be distracted with! haha
what sticks are he using???? Anyone know???? They look really decent
+Jhamari Tate They kinda look like Rennicks
This is a little off topic, but what type of exercise would you recommend for strengthening your left hand?
is there a transcription for the shifting? i can follow the (book report + drag) x 2 but the last few bars where it shifts throws me off :)
How highly would you recommend that pad?
What practice pad is that?
yeah what he said
What type of pad is that?
at the offworld percussion website :)
@tyler stewart you consider flam drags and double strokes advanced? LOL
Where did you march?
I NEED THAT SHIRT. WHERE CAN I GET IT?
Yes i learned it! I can only play it at like 50 bpm tho :P
Lol
Better than nothing
Oh really, Tamra Church. Tell me more about the academic book reports anyone on this channel wants to learn more about.
U should have broken the weird flam drags down some more. I think i can get it its the reverse measure that fucks me up lol

ALL of them??? lol hmmm... as soon as you start including hybrids the list of possible rudiments to cover gets very long. I will do my best. :)
Are you up for some constructive criticism? It's nothing major. Just something I noticed since it's recorded.
That looks like a scojo blue practice pad
Lol this is one of my cc coaches
wish I listened to mine when I was in middle school...I was so stubborn...err probably still am haha
this is so hard
Am I not seeing the notation correctly or does he play a 2nd accent after each 2nd diddle?
WHERE DO YOU GET THAT SHIRT?
Is that an actual drum you're playing on or practice pad?
Wes Jones practice pad. Looks like an Invader V3 Blue Chameleon
Wes Jones off world invader v3 scojo pad

You play to fast for me to understand
+Mustang Sally doesn't make a difference how fast he plays,it's written right under your nose.
Still... If you aren't going to teach it slowly, why bother posting it. You aren't doing anything more than showing off at this point.
@@TRGBK6887 no its easy to understand lol get good bro jk
I FREAKING HATE BOOK REPORTS
can you go slower
The music is RIGHT THERE
can you go slower
