Roger that. I recently picked up a used SR22 auto from a friend. The takedown lever was showing some damage. Ruger sent me a prepaid shipping label. I had the gun back, with a new, updated take down lever installed, in 2 weeks. Ruger paid shipping- both ways, and didn't charge me anything for parts and labor. Can't get any better service than that.
Have been carrying this firearm for over two year, really love the size and weight of this gun. I painted the front sight day glow yellow and installed a lasermax red laser. Great little gun, accurate under 25 yards and reliable.
I own the Ec9s. Accurate, reliable and conceals comfortably well. I added a hogue grip sleeve, 2 magguts kits for 2 magazines making them 8+1, and glow on sight paint on the sights. This gives you a comfortable grip, more rounds and the capability to shoot at night if you "charge" your sights with a flashlight. Greatly enhances the effectiveness and versatility of this firearm. Paired with underwood extreme defender ammunition and a clinger comfort cling holster it is a very capable combination.
The best part about it was that it also wasn't too expensive to purchase initially which for some people helps them buy a decent carry firearms but not too much money. Sounds like you have a great EDC with your loadout. Thanks for watching!
Same. I had NO interest in another 9mm carry gun. I came across this at a gun show, and the price was VERY low, so I picked it up. Now, like you, it's in my daily carry rotation. Snappy little thing, but I do like it.
I’ve had this gun for awhile done sent well over 1000 rounds through mine and it still fires like it’s brand new. I love this thing. One of my favorite not to mention it’s not noticeable with the right holsters. When I carry mine if you don’t know I have it you never will.
I own, carry and like this gun very much. it is very compact, light and slim which makes it very concealable and comfortable to carry. . I use a Techna clip to fasten it to my waistband and I honestly forget that I have it on. I like the fact that it has a manual safety since I am carrying it in close proximity to the boys and I always have a round in the chamber. I carried this gun unloaded for several days to see if my everyday movements would cause the safety to disengage. It never did. The trigger does have a long reset but was easy to get used to and not an issue for me. I wanted a little higher capacity so I bought a 9 round Ruger mag which gives me 9+1 and use the 7 round mag for a spare. Pro-Mag has a 10 round mag available for this gun as well. I have shot several hundred rounds at the range with no FTF's using all types of ammo. Even cheap steel case rounds cycle with no issues although accuracy suffers. The fixed sights are nothing to write home about but with a little practice I found this gun to be quite accurate using 147 gr bullets. All in all, if you're looking for an affordable quality compact pistol that is accurate, reliable and joy to carry, check this one out.
Sent my ec9s back in for a extractor issue, wasn't extracting the spent casing. I removed it, cleaned it and replaced it. (correctly or so I thought) The next time I took it out the extractor, plunger, and spring all took off. Bottom line is Ruger repaired it at no cost and were very pleasant to deal with, they have a great service department. They fixed it at no cost also.
Were you the first owner? Or did they even ask if you were the first owner? Debating on if I should buy it new, but or used since I hear all these stories that they’ll fix anything wrong anyways
@@JayFnkay I was the first owner, got it brand new. I did have some issues out of the box and tried to fix it myself, big opps. Once ruger received it they were quick about it and no questions asked. Very happy with their service. If you do buy this firearm I think you'll be happy with it. Generally their guns are very good quality, but add with all manufacturers there may be a issue sometimes. Sorry for the delay in responding and good luck and be safe.
I actually purchased a ec9s as well and had the same issue! Contacted rugar and my local gunshop and come to find a piece was actually missing from my gun. I had a gun smith rebuild it (including the missing piece) and had no problem since Jeff Klingler
My EDC as well. Hard to beat the price, size for a 9mm and reliability. It’s an excellent size for a pocket gun. I feel confident it will perform great if God forbid I ever needed it.
I carry this every day and love it. Slim width makes it very concealable. Use the extended mag, carry an extra extended mag, and have 6 rounds in a quickstrip for a total of 25 rounds on me. Have shot hundreds of rounds through it and have had zero issues. I put the hogue grip on mine
Picked mine up from sportsman’s on sale for 200. Great lightweight little daily. Great trigger. Very mellow shooter for a shorty. About 500 rounds thus far with zero issue.
I finally was able to fire my brand new EC9S and I was impressed with the trigger and tight groups I was getting. I painted the front post with Glow-On and put Traction Grips on it and was putting better groups than with my CZ P-07! I'm a very happy shooter with this little gun.
Thanks for the info, just purchased our first handgun and wife and I chose this gun. Now I need to learn everything about it cause this is the first time I own a handgun. Thanks for the video.
Man, I am glad to help. Check out my cleaning video and I think I have a range test of it, too. Practice with it. Learn to clean for it. Mine runs like a champ. I have carried many inexpensive 9mm pistols over the years and the EC9S has the best trigger in my opinion. Thank you for watching!
I've run steel and aluminum case ammunition in mine with no malfunctions. Also use 124 grain extreme penetrator carry ammo. Little bit snappier but runs flawlessly.
Have you tried shooting CC #4 snake shot with this gun, I just picked one up, but because where I live I have to go to a range and haven't made it to one yet
The trigger sold me... I actually went up to buy a glock 42 and the trigger felt like it had sand in it compared. I was very happy saving about $100 also and don't regret the choice one bit. I added a HOGUE (rubber band) grip and the lazer. The trigger makes it all come together for such a small package. I can actually hit a 50gal drum at 100yrds all day long with this thing.
EC9s had to go back to Ruger for repairs a 3rd time. This time the slide got stuck. This same problem happened when I first got it. A phone call to Ruger had a tech telling me to bash the slide with a rubber hammer until it got back to its normal position (which I did not feel comfortable doing), which worked. I did have some slide problems when cleaning from then on, but the pistol seemed to fire fine. This time Ruger had me send it in again for inspection & repair. Before sending it in, I removed the frame pins and was able to remove the slide from the frame. However, the barrel was still stuck in the frame. Parts fell off when I removed the frame. I packed up the pieces in a baggy and sent it in. Ruger informed me that they were going to destroy the gun and send me a new replacement. They had to do the same thing with a Security 9, which had to be sent in twice: once with a broken titanium firing pin and a broken hammer, secondly with a broken firing pin. In both cases the broken firing pin caused failure to feed. After the second submission Ruger decided to destroy the Security 9 and replace it. Another brand new Security 9 was sent back because the slide would stay locked back when the magazine was removed. That was fixed. And I got a new Security 9. Waiting for the EC9s replacement.
My EC9s has had to go back to Ruger twice for repairs. Both times Ruger replaced the striker assembly and the slide. Some quality. Ruger customer service is superb.
Robert Marrott. Born and raised in Arizona I’m proud to have them as a hometown company, had lots of family and friends work for them they take good care of their employees as well.
I carried a Ruger SR9C for about 3 years it was a fantastic gun. I removed the magazine safety. I finally started carrying a G19. Holsters we're kinda hard to find back then. Now days with all the home grown kydex makers that probably would not be a problem. Also I never used that grip extension when I ran the long mags 17 in the case of the SR9C. I've been thinking about a deep concealment gun. I might just get a single stack Ruger. I've never had an issue with Ruger. Ruger has fantastic value for sure. Good review. Happy New Year.
Ruger has a very good customer service. MY 380 LCP bought in 2012; the firing pin went missing. I called Ruger, sent it in, they replaced the firing pin and retainer and got it back home in 3 weeks. No charge and added a Ruger cleaning cloth. Ruger is like family to Ruger owners. Love it. They gave me advice; " Do not dry fire this firearm, by some snap caps to avoid damage to firing pin". Thanks Ruger. Since I hear so much people say that is okay to dry fire, Now I know, it never is.
My EC9s has been sent back to Ruger numerous times for repair. The first two times were for a broken striker, and the second time the pistol had only been dry-fired. Ruger replaced the slide and striker assembly both times. When the EC9s was brand new, the slide got stuck during an initial field strip. I missed the NOTE on instruction #5 (don’t rack the slide without the takedown pin installed). The tech at Ruger advised me over the phone to bash the slide with a hammer until the slide returned to its proper position, which I reluctantly did. The slide again got stuck, along with the barrel. No bashing helped this time. The pistol was returned to Ruger for repair the third time. Ruger decided to destroy the pistol and send me a replacement. I bought a second one since I liked the first one so much (in spite of the problems). Both the new one and the replacement exhibited frequent failures to feed. Both went back to Ruger. They both are now functioning fine. Ruger customer service has been courteous, helpful, superb, fantastic. I like the EC9s because I shoot accurately with it. I like how it feels in my hands. I like the safety, the magazine disconnect, the takedown process, the sights (I painted the front), the trigger, the magazine latch, and the slide serrations. I’ve had to send back Security 9s four times for repair and an LCP II twice, all within a year. Ruger reliability does not match customer support in my experience.
Carry this gun daily all I did was put white out on the front sight and love the way it shoots. Have put over 100 rounds through it zero issues. Love how slim it is I forget I’m even carrying.
I just bought a Ruger EC9s today found one for $229 plus tax great gun for the price and very accurate the trigger pull is much better compared to the LC9
I wish I'd checked eBay before I bought my 9 round mag at my local gun store. I paid 40 bucks for that thing! And you're right, the Hogue slip on grip does wonders for folks with larger hands. Great review!
I was shocked what Cabela's was asking for both the standard and extra cap mags. It was close to $40. I like to support the "little guy" when I can but that is a bit crazy when o can get them online for $15 to $17 less, tax free with free shipping.
Thanks for your review of your Ruger EC9s. I've had mine since right after its introduction. It is easy to carry. I added a Hogue grip sleeve. It fills my palm a little better.
Sr9 had multiple failures to feed and the safety did this weird half click thing. Sr9c would fire and cycle but the trigger would stay back as if dry-fired. Set them off and got them back within two weeks and they've been 100% ever since.
I rented it this weekend I shot it loved it my daughter not so much because she has the Bersa thunder 380 and that is a sweet pistol but I carry a Smith and Wesson body guard 380ACP which Can be snappy but love that ruger
i bought one 4years ago i have no problem with it....i bought 4 10round magazine for it....this is the only 9mm i have the low price is why i bought it.....
I carried a Taurus spectrum 380 for about 4 years and my brother traded me a 1911 45 so I had to buy a new pocket gun and I bought a ec9s and a sccy 9mm with crimson Trace red dot, and I love my ec9s , I had my pinky, ring finger and half of my middle finger amputated so I need something I can shoot comfortably, both of them are great but I just fell in love with my ec9s !!
I got a LC9S Pro used with 3 extra magazines for $235.00! I've put night sights and a laser on it. Thinking about getting the EC9S and switching the laser to it. Great little single stack. You can get a decent iwb holster from Amazon and EBAY!
With the ruger extended mag that I just received. It's a game changer for me. It's really hard to put the 9th round in the extendo. Maybe overtime it'll become less stiffer but I'll see how it goes when I go to the range in the evening. I had G2S since 2019 as EDC and I hated it. G2S was definitely heavier than ec9s and had a shorter grip than the ec9s. With extended mag with 8 rounds only. Ec9s feels the same as it would with the regular Mag 7 RDS. It's just as concealable. I don't even feel the weight of it. That G17 gen 5 was heavy and long AF and uncomfortable to hip carry. Only thing I don't like about ec9s is that it makes me buy tons of ammo to shoot with it 😆
I never heard of this gun, but then the store near me put it on sale for $199 for black Friday. So I bought 2 of them. Wow, so glad I did. I carry it almost every day, the other days I carry my Remington 9mm.....
I've had the LC9s pro for a while and recently got the LC9s only because it came in a color I liked & I wanted to get it before it was discontinued. I love them both. Both shoot equally well once you adjust the sights. I don't get the negative reaction to needing a tool to take it down. I don't take my guns down in the field anyway, since I don't carry the stuff to clean a gun with. I wait until I get home and then it's no big deal to need a tool to take it down. Once you take the pin out, the rest is easy. I would've preferred that Ruger dispense with the lock and include a 2cd magazine instead. I also find that though the trigger pull is only about 4 pounds, it's long on the reset, making double taps difficult. So far both pistols have been the most reliable pistols I've owned. It's a great pocket carry pistol; smaller and lighter than the Ruger SR9 compact. It's too bad that Ruger decided to discontinue the LC9s and the LC9s pro. I've never shot the EC9s, but I imagine it's just as reliable, but not as accurate as the LC9s.
Yeah I agree. I think the main thing that bugs people is the potential to need a tool for a field strip and the first time, I did but after that, things loosened up a bit and it was not problem.
In being a revolver point and shoot guy after having carried every day a .38 Colt Detective Sp. for years I can truly say this is the equal in every way, for a semi-auto, and the price$239, an absolute NO BRAINER...
Just picked one up today for a pocket carry gun here in Texas for the summertime in cargo shorts when my IWB for the Taurus G3C is too much. I wish I had known about the eBay for a mag. They had one extended mag where I got the gun and bought it for $40. Oh well I got what I needed and love the flat dark earth finish on my ec9s
Good review Travis. I like how you explain why you charged the handgun the way you did and why you didn't use the slide release. I also like the demonstration with the extended floor plate magazine in the hand.
This my edc Light, thin, comfortable to carry. If its not comfy, you won't have it lol Ran 60 rnds of sig holos and about 150 fmj No failures, keep it well oiled Paid $300 Immediately went out and got one for dad.
SWEET! I think me and you went to this gun the same way, I have a Taurus G2C which I really like, but I've been thinking about a smaller more concealable pistol, so I've been checking out the LC9 and the S&W body guard, etc... Went in a local shop the other day and came across an EC9 and never heard of them until that day, liked it immediately and went ahead and purchased:)
Funny you mentioned the Kahr... I was really torn between a Kahr and this. I ended up deciding on the EC9s because it had 1-2 more capacity over the Kahr I was eyeing, plus it's a little big bigger with more hand real estate, which is essential to me. Good to see extended mags exist for it too like that 9 rd one.
I have a EC9s and it's good. It's rounded form even lends itself to pocket carry. As long as they shoot to point of aim, fixed sights are a Plus. Still I might suggest the Ruger Max 9 same thing in a double stack and weigh about 1.26oz more. Nobody says you have to load the magazines to full capacity, in fact, it's much easier to download the double stack magazine to 8 rounds. Honorable mention to Taurus GX4, if you got a good/late model one, you are well off.
Trigger reset test is alot easier if using the orange "false mag" that comes with it. Other than that great video i just picked one up on sale recently and looking forward to breaking it in. Just picked it up on impulse sale and looking for a smaller CC for my lighter clothing days
I agree. It is a wonderful daily carry even if there are newer models on the market that have more capacity. You can still nag great deals on these ECs pistols.
Was convinced that this was the gun I need until you mentioned the possible “racking” difficulty. I got rid of both my LCPs for just that reason. Even if you don’t have hand weakness, the lack of gripping area on an automatic is the primary reason some guns are hard to charge. I also tried your over-the-top grip and twice got the web of my hand pinched in the slide (yikes!). These micro pistols have a tendency to exhibit this disadvantage, and in my experience, it’s due to size, since I never had problems racking my 1911. And breaking the slide in never made a difference to me. My grip kept slipping off the slide anyway. A tad more aggressiveness on the striations might solve this annoyance.
I agree about charging the weapon. The smaller and thinner the tougher it is. I tend to use a pull back and up style which brings my left hand up towards my chest after I release the slide. That keeps my hand away from the ejection port.
you can move remove the magazine disconnects in as little as 15 to 20 minutes like I did mine and gives this gun an amazing trigger and really the magazine disconnect safety is not needed
Yeah I own five Rugers and I regret none. Anyone who has dealt with Ruger support knows this. They want customer loyalty. If you tell them you have a problem they'll get you up and running. I had a bad mag release spring on my LC9s. I couldn't seat the mag fully. It kept dropping out. I called them up and sent it back. They refreshed the springs in my gun without being asked, not just that one. They go out of their way to hook you up.
Very well explained review. Looks like a good gun for the price...Bummer it only comes with one mag, though. In my experience Ruger mags are expensive. Anyway, thanks for the review
just pick up a used Ruger EC9 at my local pawn shop. it was $220 only, came with two 7rd, and one 9rd magazine. holster etc etc. someone must had pawn it. i pick it up quick
I've currently looking to replace a Taurus TCP as my work gun. (it'll still be my deep concealed backup) I've been eyeing the P365, SCCY, G2 and 3C, Glock 43, and the Rugers. Great video. Its a much more affordable alternative to the P365. And I'll have enough cash left to get a home defense shotgun, even with today's crazy prices. Drive-out price for one of these Rugers at local gun shops will kill a $400 bill and might leave you enough change for a fast food trip.
@@travisp11 I got it for 350. Two mags, one 7 round and one 9 round. Brand new looking, the guy said he never fired it. The trigger is good. The ONLY thing I'm gonna do to this gun is paint the front sight white. It fits in the ankle holster I've been using for my TCP. I flatten it out and it fits perfectly upright in a cargo pocket without flopping around.
I did have a problem with the finish, I got wet on a 4wheeler ride and by the time I got home it had rust on the slide, I soaked it in PB blaster for a couple days and used a Mr clean cleaning block and removed it, but it was in my pocket for 3 to 4 hours wet, it started to rust quickly
Unfortunately, the coating on the EC9S is pretty thin. My EC9S only had been carried but never exposed to moisture like yours. I don't think it is a nitride finish so it does require some protective CLP before you hit the field.
I just bought one of these for my daughter yesterday and just trying to get some basic overview of it. The only thing I'm not too particularly happy with is the magazine disconnect safety is kind of stupid in my opinion. And how hard it is to pop down the slide catch. I've noticed on other reviews people saying the same thing that they end up just pulling it back and pushing down the slide catch and going that way. But as a gun owner of several different pistols I prefer being able to use my thumb to click down the slide release and take care of business. But again it's for my daughter she has a small size statue and I just want to make sure this is good for her.
It will serve as a great pistol for her. Ruger is like that with their mag disconnect safeties, don't know why but many of their guns are not offered without a safety.
@@travisp11 I personally have a Ruger P93DC. But I'm not the happiest with it. It tends to have the tip of the round catch on the chambering slide. It'll catch right at the bottom of the chambering slide. So I'm considering getting a different nine. I like the P93, but I'm just not really comfortable with it being something I'm going to bet my life on.
@@travisp11 So story time, turns out I took it with me when I went to a couple of gun shops to look at different pistols yesterday. And I spoke to one of the guys there about my problem with the rounds catching at the bottom of the feed ramp. And turns out the problem is the crappy subpar magazines made by ProMag. And it just so happened I had my Ruger magazine on my side with another promag. Because I carry one mag in the pistol (obviously) and two on my side when I go anywhere. So we went to the back of the store and he showed me how when I put the Ruger magazine in there it didn't do it, not one time. But as soon as I put the ProMag and they're in chambered the first 2 round it caught. I bought 4 magazines that are ProMag and they're basically worthless, I purchased 3-15 rnd. & 1- 32 rnd. So now unless I have my Ruger magazine in there, the likelihood of it jamming is about 90%. So I'm going to have to spend the extra 10 bucks per magazine and get the original Ruger magazines. I just became a gun enthusiast, so you live and you learn that's how it works I guess. No more ProMag for me! 🤦🏼
@@TheTexasViking yeah, pro mag are very hit or miss on quality. I think they are out of business now. Steer clear of their AR and AK magazines. I either buy factory original pistol mags or Mec Gar brand which is a supplier to many companies
Travis are you aware that when cycling the slide on pistols with a magazine disconnect that if you use your thumb to hold the slide stop down you can avoid removing and re inserting the magazine?
I did not know that and that would make sense. The slide stop on the EC9s is very hard to press, though so on this pistol, I will just re-insert the magazine.
I have the lc9s,gun goes bang every time I pull the trigger. I really like the gun,but I have noticed that sometimes I pull the trigger, the trigger safety prevents me from pulling the trigger.this makes me wonder if I would trust my life with this.if you don't pull the trigger the exactly right,it may not fire.In a split second of needing to fire the weopon, the trigger might not let you fire it.I don't like the trigger safety.I think that and the magazine disconnect SUCKS! Ruger screwed up with that!
I carry a LC9S Pro with Critical Defense ammo, in a 1791 SCH IWB holster which will take my G42 also. Not a fan of magazine disconnects and safeties on carry guns.
Good video and critique. Got mine recently and painted the front site post white. (70+ eyes). Took it to the range 1st time today and after I learned the sites which took around 3 shots.... I was hitting the bullseye or around the edge. Great gun with a good trigger and will be my carry after I carried my LCP Ruger for several years. I paid 209$ at RK.... you can spend more on other pistols but not get as much.
My wife and I both bought these as our first guns that we bought for CCW. It's perfect. We have used CCI Blazer Brass bullets since day one and love it. Shoots very clean. No duds.
I picked this up for 199 for my mom yesterday only thing I don’t like is the small takedown pin, I tend to lose small things often so (not my gun so not really a big deal) but I could see it coming up missing during a cleaning
This was the weapon I was seriously considering before getting my first G2C, the trigger space and travel really made me go G2C,. I have Large fingers. The G2C sold me so well I got a 2nd G2C for Christmas....LMFAO Great review update Travis
Nope, because I have carried a revolver (S&W 629 and Taurus Tracker 44) I love the long trigger, it's like home for me. The short quick triggers are great too but I like the trigger. Feels great in my big old paws.....LMFAO. Also, I am not a super shooter. If I keep it all in a 3 to 4 inch group from 15/25 yds, I'm good. If I want to take my time I might be able to do better😲😉🦖

Have been carrying this firearm for over two year, really love the size and weight of this gun. I painted the front sight day glow yellow and installed a lasermax red laser. Great little gun, accurate under 25 yards and reliable.
Mine was awesome. Traded in on a P365 last spring but the EC9s trigger is so smooth
Thanks for watching!

i switched to this as my everyday carry and couldnt be happier!!! got my 10round mag and cant go wrong
Right on!
My EDC as well. Hard to beat the price, size for a 9mm and reliability. It’s an excellent size for a pocket gun. I feel confident it will perform great if God forbid I ever needed it.
It will but just like you I hope I never need to use mine.
LC9s Pro owner for 2+ years. No malfunctions. Great accuracy for a concealed carry. Smooth trigger. Added the hogue grip and it feels like a dream

Just got this today as my first gun. Can't wait to shoot it!
Phillip Schneider how much recoil
I4gotGaming x2. It’s his 1st gun what is he supposed to compare it to? He speaks on recoil in the video
@Phillip Schneider how do you like it?
got me one today.love this thing
mines got brown cerakote
I carry this every day and love it. Slim width makes it very concealable. Use the extended mag, carry an extra extended mag, and have 6 rounds in a quickstrip for a total of 25 rounds on me. Have shot hundreds of rounds through it and have had zero issues. I put the hogue grip on mine
It is a great carry piece and having the extended mags does help! Thanks for watching!
So not so slim then after the grip?
Picked mine up from sportsman’s on sale for 200. Great lightweight little daily. Great trigger. Very mellow shooter for a shorty. About 500 rounds thus far with zero issue.
Right on! Mine runs well!
I finally was able to fire my brand new EC9S and I was impressed with the trigger and tight groups I was getting. I painted the front post with Glow-On and put Traction Grips on it and was putting better groups than with my CZ P-07! I'm a very happy shooter with this little gun.
It is an awesome little pistol! Great idea with painting the front sight! That will speed up target acquisitions greatly!
I got mine a month ago for $200, great daily carry. Ran about 200 rounds thru it already. No issues so far.
It is a great little pistol! Thanks
This is great info! Thanks!!
Same here!
Patrick Pew Pew mine is the Sig Vcrown 365. Perfect for me.
Nice!!
I did the same with a green laser an grip wit extendo
This is why I shop by brand name when buying a new pistol I don't know anything about I haven't been disappointed so far.
Thank you, sir and you too have a great new year!
Bought this gun a few years ago and absolutely love it.
Ffejay Warrior Right on!
@@rafaelmadrigal1999 this is good to know
My EC9s has been sent back to Ruger numerous times for repair.
Nice! Great idea and it is an awesome little pistol!
I just picked mine up 2 week ago and now carry it everyday however I love and trust my g2c but it's alot heavier then the ec9s both are great guns
I've ran many rounds of aluminum flawlessly! Never an issue.. love this gun.
It is a solid shooter, that is for sure!
just picked up my gun permits today. This will be my first gun, found it at academy sports for $199
currentevent I think it is an excellent first pistol. Great choice!
@currentevent How have you liked the ec9s so far?
Shoots great, I’ve had no problems. My hands are too big for it though, so it’ll be for when I need to pocket carry.
I just bought a Ruger EC9s today found one for $229 plus tax great gun for the price and very accurate the trigger pull is much better compared to the LC9

Awesome review. I'm actually in the market for this firearm. I'm glad I watched your review
Peter Thompson Mine runs well! Thanks for watching!
For the price, hard to beat. Finger extension on the magazine is a plus for grip. Cabelas has them on sale for the 4th of July sale.
That is awesome! Thanks for watching!
I like to support the "little guy" when I can but that is a bit crazy when o can get them online for $15 to $17 less, tax free with free shipping.
same here , purchased 2nd mag from ruger and paid l like $33 . will check out Ebay for 3rd magazine.
I love my EC9 . Outstanding gun especially for the price. Small and compact it’s become my EDC.
Right on!
Thanks for your review of your Ruger EC9s. I've had mine since right after its introduction. It is easy to carry. I added a Hogue grip sleeve. It fills my palm a little better.
Yeah, the hogue sleeve is a nice addition! Thanks for watching!
Ruger gives zero hassles when repairing any firearm made by them. I never had a problem getting anything fixed and always after the warranty.

Love mine, Ruger is a great gun I've had many Ruger guns and none have messed up. Very reliable
It is a great pistol!
@@travisp11 . Definitely, I got one in flat dark Earth and I love it
@@D-A-1776 The EC9s in FDE looks pretty cool. I just about traded mine in for a sniper grey/black one that my dealer got many years ago.
@@travisp11 Hell yeah
I've sent two firearms back to ruger. My sr9 and sr9c. Great customer service. Zero issues with my ec9s.
This is good to know. Did the SR9 and 9c have jamming issues?
Sr9 had multiple failures to feed and the safety did this weird half click thing. Sr9c would fire and cycle but the trigger would stay back as if dry-fired. Set them off and got them back within two weeks and they've been 100% ever since.
@@benrichards1639 Thanks for the reply!

I carried a Taurus spectrum 380 for about 4 years and my brother traded me a 1911 45 so I had to buy a new pocket gun and I bought a ec9s and a sccy 9mm with crimson Trace red dot, and I love my ec9s ,
I had my pinky, ring finger and half of my middle finger amputated so I need something I can shoot comfortably, both of them are great but I just fell in love with my ec9s !!

I got a LC9S Pro used with 3 extra magazines for $235.00! I've put night sights and a laser on it. Thinking about getting the EC9S and switching the laser to it. Great little single stack. You can get a decent iwb holster from Amazon and EBAY!
That is awesome! It is so cool that we can get low priced factory mags from ebay, too. I´m jealous!
Sweet. I have a glock 42 380 for cc. Wonder how this one is compared too mine? Is it nice as well
@@jeffd3802 I find the Ruger a bit easier to keep on target. Recoil is less in my opinion and I owned a G42 for a few years.

Justin Conn I love mine!
I've been a revolver guy lately but enjoyed your look at the EC9s
MPGunther1 Right on! Thank you for watching!!
Only thing I don't like about ec9s is that it makes me buy tons of ammo to shoot with it 😆
It is a great pistol! I just wish the prices on them would go back to pre covid. Thanks for watching!
I never heard of this gun, but then the store near me put it on sale for $199 for black Friday. So I bought 2 of them. Wow, so glad I did. I carry it almost every day, the other days I carry my Remington 9mm.....
Cool! Yeah, they are fine as an entry level daily carry piece. Mine has run well with no issues.
I'm happy with mine. Been carrying it for 4 months now and can't complain at all.
It is a great little pistol
Nice video! Use the orange magazine if dry firing, helps immensely!
Yea!!!! Nebraska boy!!!! Born and raised sandhills myself. Great vid. Love my ruger as well

EC9s is nice but they have gone up in price. Great fun, though.
@@travisp11 Yep, I paid right at $300 taxes, fees and all. It was priced $283
@@geico1975 yeah, they were $220-$250 when they first came out.
Ruger is easier to conceal, too.
@@robertkubrick3738 I have an LCP Max 380 that is also a good shooter. I don’t have my EC9S anymore but it was a great pistol.

@@secretsquirrel584 you know it
Was convinced that this was the gun I need until you mentioned the possible “racking” difficulty.
Good to know!

Good choice!
I have the LC9s pro and out of the 6 handguns I own this has the 2nd best trigger, 1st being a Kimber 1911.
I agree!
@@cbwelch4 I agree the customer service is excellent

It is a decent pistol with a few minor tweaks like some paint on the front site and a hogue grip sleeve.
Very well explained review. Looks like a good gun for the price...Bummer it only comes with one mag, though. In my experience Ruger mags are expensive. Anyway, thanks for the review

You did pretty good!
I really like the P365 but man, $600 for one stinks.
The best price on a 365 I've found near me is 540. I'm dealing with a guy on Texasguntrader now for an EC9S. I'm hoping he'll take 350.
@@traumajock Those have really gone up in value too right now! Hope you can get it!
@@traumajock You got a heck of a deal! They are great pistols and the trigger is one of the better ones out there for such a cheap gun.
Preventive Maintenance is the key to all firearms 👍
@@TheTexasViking P series Rugers are pretty hard to beat. I love em. My new daily carry is a P365.

This was the weapon I was seriously considering before getting my first G2C, the trigger space and travel really made me go G2C,. I have Large fingers. The G2C sold me so well I got a 2nd G2C for Christmas....LMFAO
Great review update Travis
Thanks!
The G2c's long trigger travel makes me shoot left. Has it been a problem for you?
@@josearalat yes, but it has been more of an issue of me not putting enough finger on the trigger.
@@2AChef-n-BBQ Just been shooting for 7 months. Own 4 pistols and the only one that I shoot way left with is the G2c. It's a shame because I really like the gun.
