Here's a tip for people with porcelain sinks. Mix 1/2 vinegar with 1/2 Dawn detergent. Spray this on the sink and let sit for at least 1/2 hour. Then scrub with non-scratch scrubber and rinse. This method works very well over time with all types of stains and especially if you have hard water rings. If you have a lot of hard water stains, you might want to spray this on and leave it over night for a few nights and gradually all the stains will go - it really works. I also use it in my toilet bowl - spray every night - leave it and swish in the morning. Over time all the hard water rings disappear with no other scrubbing than this.
Dear Flylady, I've been totally burnt out with way too much work and although I'm not particularly messy and I've been decluttering quite a lot, also doing my housework as I can, I felt bad. It was never enough peaceful and beautiful to really relax. Your method is really great, even for very tired people, because every day is a step to more selfrespect and dignity! And the best of it all: No more guilty feelings. Routines and 15 minutes of advancing every day in one special zone. That is enough and makes me h a p p y.
@@fifichattou2203, it's time to get up and get one thing done. It will give you the motivation to do a bit more. Set a timer and see what you can do in 15 minutes. The flylady decluttered 27 items, 3 times a day for NINE months. De-cluttering gets your home looking nice and routines keep it clean. (FlyCrew Member, Paddi)
I stepped out in faith - what've you got to lose? and I can totally testify to the ripple of positive effects that come from the simple act of dressing to lace-up shoes and shining my sink! This woman is brilliant!

I am in the middle of CHAOS TO CLEAN. To be honest with you a lot of these things I have come up with on my own. I am learning things though. Thanks! One idea I came up with sadly AFTER I had spent decades spending hours in the kitchen doing dishes with all the holiday cooking is using one big bowl and one spoon. Make a dish. Wash bowl and spoon. Repeat until holiday cooking is done. I found when I was done cooking I did not have to spend half an hour washing all the dishes that come with making a holiday meal!

I have been a very part time fly baby for a dozen years or so. now that I live by myself and you are on you tube I have NO excuses. back to baby steps today, and tomorrow, and one day at a time! I have to admit, I still need you at age 59 :) I am glad for your success and your vids look SO professional!
The new year is here!! I have been semi-fluttering for too many years. Chaos still reigns in my house. This year will be different. I will shine my sink every day, I will accept each day's direction and challenge, even if they don't seem to be an important step in a chaos-free house and life. hey, what can I say...my way doesn't seem to be very effective. This year I WILL fly and move to chaos free living.
Never saw this before. Loved it. My mail was so full I never read them. Then I switched to FL lite emails..so much easier to read. I had forgotten about shiny sinks. I haven't been keeping up at all. Maybe this will motivate me again. Newer Porcelain sinks are not like the old. Must use AJAX. nothing else takes out the stains on this sink. I used Comet for years...never did it for me. Maybe I'll find the strenth to start up again.. my house is a disaster.
hmmm... sceptical about this, sounds nutty! lol but others comments have me wanting to try it. There is definitely room for improvements at my house. We're ALWAYS cleaning!!

4 days of a shiny sink and yes - it really DOES make a huge difference. Heck, I even cleaned my oven this week!
