Man. I was a jewish skin from philly, we had a whole crew of traditionals and we used to make the trip to CBs and city gardens all the time. This was a little later in the early-mid 90s. But mannn. When you sd its about the vibe, fkn nailed it. Oi oi oi!!!!!!
Yup Starting in 1987 we would take the Path train from Newark to 9th street and we would walk down to the LES to all the HC shows at CB’s and Pyramid club and the Ritz, Irving Plaza, Some Records ETC. Great times back then. I will never forget my NYHC roots.
Anyone remember calling OPEC Sid for show info? I remember on his recording he was saying if I don't get money for a new answering machine I'm closing shop! Don't know if he ever got the funds for a new machine though. I remember how hyped I'd be if a good show was coming up-calling friends immediately to inform. Thanks Sid!

There’s no comparison between NYHC and HC outta DC. The DC scene has too many uptight characters involved
