I remember buying my dad old spice for Christmas when i was a boy. He was a wet shaver for 70 years . Old school is usually better on most things . Glad you're using quality brushes , i tried a parker badger brush last shave , I'd have been grateful for your old spice to kill the wet dog smell 😅.
My test now is whats the post shave feel ? ½hour is my test , if no irritation, and smooth its a good soap. You've a good nose Gary! ( ive a cold 🤧)
Your Filly is a masterpiece on 10k kouseki edge , what a great shave test 👌.

Great video Gary! Love the comparison between the soaps. That's a great razor and an awesome honing on it. Now you have me looking up at suehiro kousekis haha Cheers have a good tuesday

The 10k kouseki isn't cheap but it does produce a better edge than 12k naniwa and it seems a lot more user friendly as in you can get away with to many strokes plus it eliminates the need for 8k .

@@garyhaywood6013I wanted to ask Gary. Do you think you can do a similar effect with the shapton glass 10k? Skip the 8k and go straight from the 5k kuromaku to the 10k glass series? Cheers

old spice is a classic for sure, both soaps performed excellent. the older soaps are richer in tallow, hence creamier. best wishes Gary

Hey, have you ever shaved your head with a razor? It looks great, but a smooth head is better. You should upload head shaves too, greetings.
