  • See part 2 here: • Is The Hype Real?! Roc... In this video I check out the brand new Sparc Drive SA-10 Axles! These 1/10 crawler axles feature real time torque vectoring to give you the handling characteristics of an open differential but retain the functionality of a locked differential. Plus they enable zero degree turning radius with 360 tank turn! I sit down with Shaun Chu, founder of Sparc Drive to take a deep dive into these axles. I will also be giving away a set of SA-10 Ultimate axles!

Law enforcement has gotten difficult in our world, and this helps keep my mind off of the job and away from negativity. Thanks for considering me. Planetary gears are used on all large heavy construction dirt moving equipment with axles. They are incredibly durable given the forces put on them because the force exerted on them is evenly distributed over 3x the gears. That’s why a fully loaded dump truck can go up/down 45 degree hills without breaking. That’s why a scraper can gouge the dirt and fill a pan with relative ease at 20 mph in seconds. The force multiplication in a planetary gear setup has such a massive advantage over regular wheel systems. I love the fact the tank turn is incorporated into this ‘new’ RC axle.

It will give you a reverse penalty if any tire goes backwards, rules don't need to change.
Won't get outlawed, and probably won't get used much because the weight and size penalty. Most comp rigs have so much steering and overdrive ratio that turning radius is tiny. Blip it around

Kudos to Shaun Chu for bringing torque vectoring to the RC crawler world! Best of luck with your entrepreneurial venture.

The technology in these axels could open up so many new possibilities in the crawler world. I might have to grab a set for my ecto once I see a few more people with them and some more testing is done. Amazing results in your video though!

Those are super cool! I would love to give those a try and see how they compare to traditional overdrive/dig/4ws setups!

This tech has so many possibilities in RC crawling and I'll wager racing as well. Im doing a crawler build now and getting my list of must haves. Was thinking a dig and 4ws but this would solve most all areas id run into and keep the weight down low. I mean, look at the extra mass that stays on the axles. Very cool to see this come about. Next year itll be everywhere.

That's some awesome technology. Every few years, something comes out that just moves the hobby forward. I'm assuming he'll eventually have a portal option.
    Cool review 😎

As a car enthusiast and an avid RC Off roader, In my opinion, this axle is well over-engineered, for lack of better terms. It is like having a computer that controlling the speed and separates the wheel turn. It is the best axle I have seen by far in the RC world. I like the fact that when turning at a higher speed, it calculates the angle of the wheels at full turn to avoid flipping.
I think car manufacturers should adapt this technology to 1:1 models as nowadays, its all about technology in the car world.

These will definitely be a hit in the full custom side of the 1/10th scene. It'll be nice to see the price drop a little bit. Lots of thought put into these and it payed off.

Wow, what an incredible idea to run with and turn into a working product! So impressive! I'd love to start my new 80 series build with these... Here in Perth W.A.... And maybe one day be able to install them on my real 80 series 😀

Dude props for the interview, great to see the person behind the product, I would have never guessed that the idea came from the real world into RC, amazing stuff! 😮 would love to test these on my Zuul

O my goodness, these things r a trip! I've already shared this w my crawler buds. The moderated steering would b a huge help w my driving cause with my being autistic I regularly mistake & turn to much for my speed & then obviously end up flipping. Definitely keeping an eye out for that next vid!

The potential applications for all four wheel vehicles are mind blowing. Stoked it came to RC first!
