Thanks, I really love this song but I always thought it would be too complicated for me to figure out. Maybe I'm still learning (grin). Actually, the chord changes are very similar to "Pua Lililehua" which I figured out recently so that made "Kipahulu" accessible. Fran
Aloha, Brian, I sure agree with your opinion of the setting, I was really happy to be able to catch a bit of the gorgeous sky we see nearly every day. Fran
Great tune Fran! My wife and I just got home from a Honolulu visit but a couple of days before we left we saw a poster that had Led on it. Some festival he is playing at on the 31st. And we were bummed because it would've been fun to see that live! ❤
That will be the 42nd annual slack key festival on O`ahu, it should be a blast but it's four hours so it's a pretty good commitment. I hope your visit was great otherwise. Fran
Well alrighty then, another wonderfully played tune, great job on the visuals. BTW, my little dog Lucky loves when I play some Fran and some Led and Fran.
Oh yes, Led really enjoyed that visit, and I'm sure folks on Guam enjoyed his mastery of guitar, uke, and vocals. He has such a wonderful stage presence too. Fran
I've picked up your channel on the Reaper forums, maybe a decade ago. Since then, you videos have always been a "surprise 5 minute vacation" for me. Thanks for sharing!
Martin, how nice to hear about a REAPER connection. I've certainly gotten a lot of help from the forum and cut a lot of recordings using REAPER. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Fran
Thank you for sharing this Fran. I have your music on all day. this is another song ill be watching you play as i try to play it myself I can't wait to get back over to the Islands. Aloha from Australia
@@franguidry Singing with Na Leo Nahenahe SF chorus, playing slack key and ukulele. We’re doing great. Love to get together when you’re back in California. Come up to wine country?

Inspiring, Fran… Hafa Adai from the Micronesia Blues Society on the island of Guam. Ledward visited us last year, before our typhoon.
Oh yes, Led really enjoyed that visit, and I'm sure folks on Guam enjoyed his mastery of guitar, uke, and vocals. He has such a wonderful stage presence too.

Wow, wonderful arrangement, love it.

Mahalo Kory, what a fun set of changes and lovely melody. No wonder it became an instant classic.

Thanks, it's certainly inspiring to be back in Kailua for a while.

Beautiful music Fran.
If anybody needed a reason to play Hawaiian music they can just say they're in it for the scenery (grin).
