Vaati videos are mostly pretty surface level. No hate to him, I think his channel is great especially for new/confused players, but other channels that go into some more depth, like Tarnished Archeologist, actually extrapolate a lot just from examining the world details. Very cool stuff, chat's just being ignorant as hell.

@@medb1996 I Wanna Be The Boshy is a hard game. Souls games are hard to get into, but once you learn all the necessary mechanics you can breeze through anything they throw at you with barely any deaths.
@@medb1996 The only people who struggle with FromSoft games are the ones who are accustomed to playing triple A western games that basically play themselves and have zero mechanical depth. If you're used to actual video games that expect you to know how to play them, Souls games are literally just any other game. I've been playing Ys X on Inferno lately and you die in one hit, can't heal, and some bosses take up to 8 minutes to beat. Meanwhile, FromSoft bosses take like a couple of minutes at most and you can literally dodge roll to victory for all of them. Plus you can heal copiously. Even Ys X isn't very hard, though. If you wanna play an actual brutal game go and play the SNES version of Romancing SaGa 2, lol

Elden Ring (and the Souls series as a whole) are just one of those games where I wish I could get into it because I just love the designs and art direction and grim dark story but there's something about the gameplay that I just can't get to click. It's not the difficulty either, I never get far enough in these games to even reach something that felt impossible.
I get that, I love watching Pikmin stuff and know all the lore and characters but have yet to finish any of the games, it's just not fun when you're the one sitting down to play them
