8-9-2022 - Very LOUD Thunderstorm With Frequent And CLOSE Lightning Knocks Out Power In NEA!

- Опубликовано: 9 авг 2022
- Watch till the end! This was probably one of the loudest storms I have ever heard, the amount of close lightning strikes at my location in Northeast Arkansas was insane! The electricity actually flickered twice and went completely out for a few seconds too, I believe it hit a pole 2 or 3 down from the one you see in this video. Thanks for watching! Not as intense as 43:04
@@DurasigDoghouse_Cntr_9024
That was also lol.
Because of my phobia this is the only way I can enjoy a thunderstorm 😊 Thank you for posting
When I was young I used to be scared to death if lightning myself. Then I learned storms can't touch you if your inside or on your back patio watching it go by from a safe place. They are beautiful to watch.

Don’t get much in the way of thunderstorms here in the Scottish highlands and the ones we do get are winter ones - usually around new year/January. We get wind and rain storms all year round but nothing too desperate. We had a hurricane a few years back…it was called Hurricane Bawbag. A bawbag is a scrotum! Great video, thank you for uploading. I’m 45 and my kids have grown up and left home and my husband wouldn’t notice if I disappeared, so if I win the lottery I’m heading for the parts of the USA I’ve wanted to see for years….basically, south of Virginia and as far west as Texas. In the meantime, while I’m still poor and fat, I’ll continue watching awesome videos like this! Have a wonderful day x
5 out of 5 stars! Truly one of the best thunderstorm videos I've ever seen. Definitely saving to my "science, weather" playlist!
Addendum: I wanted to add, I love the rain sounds, with or without the thunder. I've been listening to it while playing card games on my 'puter!
I'll be uploading a lot more often soon! Still getting everything together for consistent uploads! Thanks for watching!
@@1018weather I'm so looking forward to hearing more of these!

Thanks for watching! Hope you liked the video!
oh yeah i definetly did, i have thunder storms depends if they are coming
Oh I love thunderstorm videos. I fall asleep every time. Intense storms gets my adrenaline up, but every day storms help me sleep. I'll turn off all my lights and play these videos so the flashing on my phone is like lightning. So relaxing. That direct strike right at 8 minutes made me go Holy S***! Lol. 20:20 and 22:00 actually made me jump. I was NOT expecting that. 😄 24:51 made me go WOAH! What a show! SC storms are tricky. Here, probably about 15-20 minutes after the storm is over, we'll get a rouge strike. You don't see it comin cuz the rain will stop and the sun will peek out, then BOOM. Scares the crap outta me. I usually wait 45 minutes after it's over before going out.
43:04 the closest and the most spectacular
I liked them all!
Oh yeah definitely was holy moly that would probably make me scream a little
😲😲 Holy cow
I would be scared
@@paigetucci6436 I would've jump
Wow!
Fantastic flash show!⛈️⛈️⛈️
There were some positive close impacts - especially at the end of the video in the immediate vicinity.😲
From the rain you can see that there was almost no wind and the thunderstorm cell moved on very slowly.
Great and very interesting shot!👌👍

Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the video!
Most lightning is actually negatively charged & comes from the cloud base. Positive lightning is much more rare & comes in the form of blue jets & tends to strike as cloud to cloud lightning.
Finally a God blessed American storm. Thank you for not talking in this video. OMG thank you for not talking and for leaving the camera on the tripod aimed at the lightning.😮❤😊
I'm glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching! I record most of my videos like this.
bro there's some really good bright flashes and then loud cracks of thunder after nice video dude 👍👍
Glad you liked my video! Thanks for watching!
Some power CG lightning in there. All the more spectacular at night
Nice video. So I imagine very close frequent lightning isn’t so common in Arkansas/ i use to vacation in Florida every summer, and the Florida storms are among the scariest i’ve ever experienced.
It's actually pretty common here in Northeast Arkansas, we get some pretty wicked storms!
@@1018weather and do you usually get them everyday like Florida?
I Am scared of lightning but I couldn't help but be drawn to this video. It was awesome filming I couldn't look away. Very nice work.

No problem it was worth watching, very professional filming

Wow that storm was VERY LOUD!!!
Very nice this thunderstorm, this gives really a glimpse how dangerous thunderstorms can be , Thank you for sharing this here , greetings from Belgium
Glad you liked my video! Thanks for watching!
I live in Belgium also.Thunderstorms like this we don't know here.Also.I am 48.And the lightningstorms in Belgium particular the eighties, seventies and earlier were more intense.
@@FLHOL Also 48 & here in ireland even modest thunderstorms are rare & haven't had anything like this video here the only 1 that stands out was the huge mothership storm back in the summer of 2003 with amazing different coloured lightning .But I also remember thunderstorms were more common here from the early 90s back into the 80s.
I'm surprised the street lamp came back on after being hit. The one outside my house was out for roughly a week after being hit. The sensor on top was also screwed up.
The lightning actually hit 3-poles down from the one you see in this video.
@@1018weather I'm still surprised the lamp came back on. Would've thought it might've done more damage.
Great video I love thunderstorms

What a extrem great Recording! I enjoyed it full Time with good Headphones. Thanks a lot for that Video with exelent Audio...😎👍
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you liked the video! I record all of my content in 5.1 surround-sound.
@@1018weather Wait what? Are there ways you can upload to a different site with the surround sound channels intact?
@@comicsansgreenkirby
I'm not sure what you mean, I use a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus to record my videos, the phone records in 5.1 surround-sound. The editing software I use also accepts 5.1 surround-sound video. RUclips can actually play all the way up to 7.1 surround-sound I believe. I know when I watch RUclips on my TV if a video is using surround-sound it plays perfectly through my 5.1 surround-sound system. You can test your surround-sound by looking up 5.1 surround-sound videos on RUclips, if you have the right equipment to listen to 5.1 check out some of them videos!
@@1018weather Ohh...ok. I scanned your videos with yt-dlp, but none of the format lists came up with 6 channel audio (er...5.1). Perhaps the exported videos are being downmixed?
I assume they're being downgraded with whatever software you're talking about, when I play them on my surround-sound after uploading them I can hear all the sounds around me, it's neat actually.
Amazing nature´s show!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice capture!
Thank you very much!
Lots of negatively charged CG lightning wow! Especially loved that catch of it at the end of the video wow... 👀

@@1018weather do you think thunder and lightning make that noise though
That has to be the best recording of lightning I've heard so far. I pulled a mod for more realistic lightning on Minecraft, and compared it with this...Yeah, I think I'll write those audio assets over. :kek: It's still incredibly powerful-sounding, even in mono!!

Frequent lightning is a very fun and overwhelming experience to see if it’s something you don’t see often
@Corn_Pop agreed especially at night time
@Corn_Pop ik we just had huge thunder and lighting last night I was freaking out

Also, great video! This one has quite a bit more lightning than any of my videos. Love it!
7:57
Awesome. 😎
Probably a tornadic supercell if you see the strikes.Just amazing.❤
Possibly!
Sorry but that doesn't mean a thing. Cloud structure/ rotation and inflow are indicators, lightning isn't.
@@viktor8321
In some cases lightning can indicate a powerful storm, but it can never indicate a tornadic cell, you are correct. Many tornadoes happen with little to no lightning.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus to record my videos, great battery-life and great audio!
What time was that at?
I don't remember the exact time.
The predominant thunderous sound from the discharges from this thunderstorm is of a caliber that I (unfortunately) have not experienced here in the Netherlands ..

if you were outside you're lucky you didn't get hit by lightning
I was inside my house and my camera was outside recording on a tripod. I may have peeked my head out to check on it occasionally but I was inside the house. Storms are fascinating but you've always gotta be safe!
الله اكبر سبحنا الله
I don't understand.
21:57 HOLY COW!!!
That's what I was thinking! Thanks for watching!
This would’ve been perfect to fall asleep had you not included the streetlight….
I include the street-light because that's the only way to see the rain in my videos, without that it would just be a dark screen with some flashes occasionally.
@@1018weather for most, the sound of rain is more relaxing than watching it. Personally, I’d prefer a dark screen with the flashing and the SOUND of thunder and rain. The lightning was intense enough to be more than “occasional flashing.” To your credit, it’s still a pretty good video.
@@brue65
Yeah I know what you mean. I never really know how much lightning will be in these storms, I usually find out a storm is coming and place my camera outside and find out what happened later when I edit the video.
@@brue65 I’d rather hear rain as well I find it hard to sleep during a thunderstorm especially super loud ones with ridiculously bright lightning
