I agree with you about a welding helmet/ head lamp combo. More light the better

Should used angle iron instead of the flat bar around the box less weld

I’m certain after 3 seconds into this video that you are self taught and you’re trying to be meticulous which is good. Using hard wire. Your small machine with small wire 030 or even smaller. You should have fit your panels “ corner to corner” meaning the insides of your corners touch leaving a nice bevel to weld on. Set the machine nice and do a down hand top to bottom. It’s beautiful. Use a sanding pad and lay it flat on each sheet making it smooth. Then round off your weld keeping the disk flat not on an angle gouging into the material. This makes it look seamless. Also don’t do a million tacs all over the place you have to weld over it. Lots more to learn but keep it up

Good vid. When I can't use my Snap On LED floor light like urs I use a Coast LED light over my helmet with an adjustable strap. It works pretty well and the battery pack sits in the back of the helmet. Also, try the black charcoal welding blankets bc they r soft with no fiberglass and they work great.

Me gusta tu trabajo . Pero deberías de aser tu caja en dos partes y no en cuatro, para que no tengas que soldar demasiado, parte de arriba y lados con dobles una sola pieza, parte abajo y de atrás una sola pieza con dobles

You only needed to weld the outside of the box if you set up the corners such that you had a V bevel . Tack and weld up back stepping the weld . If your plate was sheared or cut square your box will be square . Get some proper pants on too. You never leave bare skin hanging out welding ..Properly sheared and broke you would have had less welding and door would have been inset and piano hinge used . Then a foam rubber weather strip could have been put in . For that long of a box 2 cross broke doors with a divider in the middle . For a novice you done alright

Nice job , but two things on the chains - it's a lot easier if you fasten the chain inside the box First before fastening it to the lid . And second , eliminate the middle chain , it's OVER-KILL , and it makes it difficult to put long akward shaped items in the box .

AWKWARD -- Sorry , typo , big clumsy fingers weren't working as fast as they should .

With that thin steel try vertical down or at 80% to 60%. angle for the welding. You will be very happy with the results.

oN WELDING THE INSIDE SEAM IT IS BETTER TO SIT IT BETWEEN TWO TABLES AND CRAWL UP INSIDE. tHAT WAY YOU CAN WELD THEM FLAT INSTEAD OF THE OFF POSITION OF ON YOUR SIDE WELDING IN.
