    this is so awesome, I went material shopping today and found that exact same hardened styropor type and thought "this could work well for the battle axe" ... then I looked for some videos on youtube and found you using the same thing, doing it the exact same way I planned to do it :D so happy right now! and very nice job!

    • @SincereSunshine
      @SincereSunshine 7 лет назад

      in austria, big DIY or hardware stores have it. Places where you would find stuff for house-building (like hornbach, bauhaus etc)

    this is so awesome! I want to make this for my cosplay as well, but I was wondering how long you made the neck of the bass? And what filler did you use to fill in the holes in the styrafoam?

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  6 лет назад

      I eyeballed erything and I used normal wall filler

    Cool video! My daughter loves your channel. We're making her the axe bass for halloween. What kind of filler did you use?

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  6 лет назад +1

      Flux i hope you have a great time crafting with your daughter! If you use styrodur as a base for the axe please keep in mind to wear gloves and some eye and mouth protection cause the foam particals can be toxic. For a filler to seal the foam I used gesso. It’s a primer for canvases. :)

    • @Laladiel_

      Sowas gibts in jedem größeren Baumarkt.
      Den Preis kann ich dir leider nicht sagen, da das Video mittlerweile ein paar Jahre alt ist. :)

    The largest size of styrofoam board near me is 1200 x 2400 mm, do you think that would be enough? Or would I need to buy more than one ;c

    Where did you get the styrodur from? Because everywhere I went they didn't have it.

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  8 лет назад +1

      Here in Germany you can get it in every Home Depot store.
      I think in the USA it is the blue foam.
      I'm sorry if this couldn't help you

    what kind of glue did you use? and what is gesso and fimo?

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  8 лет назад +1

      Kelsey Scotka fimo is like play doh but gets hard when you bake it. Gesso is a base coat for canvases and the glue is normal glue for Styropor

    How long did you make the guitar neck?

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  8 лет назад +1

      phantastically__me I made the pattern at the beginning so that the bass would be proportional to my body. So I don't know 🤔

    What type of sandpaper did you used? Please reply me quick I'll start working with Axe Bass soon.

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  8 лет назад +1

      That's just some normal sanding paper one which is stronger and one which is very fine

    • @rainazia
      @rainazia 8 лет назад +1

      +Sayuri Shinichi Cosplay Uh... I don't understand. There are so many sandpapers used wood, metal, glass, painting, car purposes. I don't know which one to buy 😥 Oh ya, I also want to know how much grit did you buy for both.

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  8 лет назад +1

      +Hikari Quin due to the fact that I used styrofoam I used sandpaper for acrylics and I don't know which grid it was. It was one with a high and one with a low

    • @rainazia
      @rainazia 8 лет назад +1

      +Sayuri Shinichi Cosplay Got it. 😄 Thanks! 😆 I didn't buy the things yet but I don't get the styrodur/ blue foam what should I use instead? 😅

    • @Laladiel_
      @Laladiel_  8 лет назад +1

      +Hikari Quin that's just some normal styrodur like Eva foam. U should be able to get this in every crafting store

  • @MungeParty
    @MungeParty 7 лет назад +1

    You should avoid sanding that stuff inside if you can, the dust is toxic.
