I loved Harry August, five stars from me. Another fast paced book I read recently is Titanium Noir by Nick Harkaway. It's a typical sardonic noir detective character but this time with titans, people with superhuman body enhancement. One of them is found dead and the private eye guy can operate 'below' the law.

literally just finished Old Man's War a couple days ago lol. One of the funniest books I've ever read. The humour got a little trite at times for sure but I think the slight shift to a more serious tone in the last quarter of the book helped with that and it ended on a great note. Not sure if I loved it enough to pursue the rest of the series but it was a very fun read.
