Brilliant as always Stinger! My favourite videos you lads make are the recreating of real team tactics - and this is another example.
It's not a 'lock down' tactic as such but I put this in Llama's video the other day. My favourite tactic to play with is 4-2-2-2. With the right players on the correct instructions etc, you will absolutely dominate possession. Attacking FB's give you a positional overload in all areas of the pitch. Want to go defensive? Change the mentality (obviously) and reduce the Out Of Possession defensive line to much lower. Accordingly, reduce the higher up your attackers are and bingo! You create a 'box' between your 2 DC's and your 2 DMC's. Put your FB's to man mark the opposition wingers and just manipulate the game play.
Bit hard to explain in words here but I've had loads of fun with this at all levels. Again, 4-2-2-2 is not a 'lock down' tactic - it's an attacking one - but adapt it in game and you can 'suffocate' the opposition.

One thing I noticed since I've been watching Barcelona this season is they build up in a 2-3-5 shape, where, Cancelo plays a lot like an inverted wing back next to Romeu (DMD/Anchor) and FDJ as a playmaker from deep, Balde basically plays the whole left side, Felix inverts from the left acting as a number 10/second striker, Lewa, the second midfielder, probably a CMA or Mez A and the inverted winger on support on the right that stays wider. And they mostly attack from the left side a lot. Nice tactic, was thinking of making a barca one myself 😀

Managed to get Everton firing with this tactic Beto is going toe to toe with Haaland for top goalscorer, excellent work. Only change I’ve made is I tend to play on slightly lower tempo.

Gave this tactics a go. First game vs Liverpool. We played 3-3! Took a 2-goal lead before the scored 3. Scored a late goal to draw the game
Liverpool are tough to play against so I'd be happy with that
