I'll tell you what i do, i play it on a drive say from miami to naples or tampa, which is about 2 -3 hrs tops, that white noise, seat bell sign, makes you feel like you're really on a flight!! And are we there.yet?? Yes it makes the drive go by quicker!

yes there is lots and lots of turbulence mid way through flight you will feel flight dip and go up and shake so much that passengers are being thrown around and it dips like 5000 ft
There is usually a lot more drag from the spoilers etc which shakes the plane a little, plus as you go through clouds you usually hit turbulence at the lower altitudes.
