You're walking around the city of tears, before the infection occured, you watch the bugs walk around and the stag bringing these weird egg things and the bugs bring it back. They don't mind the rain and actually seen to enjoy it. Some bugs are talking, some are selling random trinkets and charms, some are looking for geo rocks to add to the ever growing economy, it's overall quite peaceful and the bugs are putting flowers on the Hollow Knight's memorial.

The city of tears is actually a newer name for the city! During its prime, the lake above the city hadn't started leaking yet.
