mine was a couple weeks ago, and for me it is the depressed bitterness that not only am I closer to the end, but there's no time outs, no 'hold on, let me catch my breath'. it's going by in a confusing whirlwind of possibility that we cannot ever grasp the majority of before it's gone from our reach, and the frantic attempt to grab at it all often means we miss most of it... and what we do get will often feel meager and disappointing when held in comparison to the other things we reached for but slipped our grasp. there's no going back for another chance, there's not even a chance to stop for a moment and rethink your approach. no time to process, no time to grieve, just the onrushing indeterminate end point threatening us with ideas like 'do you go back to school for 4 more years, unable to take advantage of other things during that time... only to get hit by a car/have a stroke etc coming to the end wasting those 4 years of opportunities you might have desperately grasped at instead.' ... it never stops for even a minute to let us catch a breath, find a focus, and enjoy the whirlwind.
You’re so right. I always find myself wanting to take a break or just catch a breath or just pressing pause just for one moment. But life keeps going, and all you can do is keep going.
Daym, this might be completely redundant sounding but you need to chill. Sit down outside, watch and listen to the birds and insects, smoke a pipe maybe idk but just stop the worry Things probably aren’t passing you by at the rate you think they are, if at all. There are always more chances to do things, it doesn’t matter if people say you ‘should’ do ‘this’ at ‘that’ age or whatever. If there are things you actually wanna do you don’t need to be in any rush to do them. Panicking because you think that the time you have is escaping will only make you unable to enjoy the time you have. Take it day by day, appreciate the world and universe and everything in it and just chill out. Life is awesome and death isn’t the end :) You haven’t blown anything away

It is just a number. I am usually too busy to even notice that on that day it is my birthday. Who cares how many times the planet has done a full revolution around the sun, since you were born? Really.
I got rid of birthdays, instead, I just celebrate my life on days where I actually feel like it. Societal conformity is a breeding ground for depression, spontaneity is the most liberating way to live.
Its exciting until the day then its a bummer cause your older. You can still be present, I find it easiest in the morning right after waking up; just a minute works good cause you will find yourself there every morning and then every week and then every year and then its all the time or no time ; ) Plus your always waking up. Also death isn't that bad cause its no longer your problem, the person contemplating death cannot experience being dead only being alive so just smile and enjoy it while it lasts cause its forever! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
My birthday is coming soon this month, i dont know what ill do, but its fine, i can see people from my family moving their hearts trying to make something special, even if is not fancy, even if is for 1 day, and this is probably enough.
I plan stuff i like for the day (or the day before or after, if i think my family is going to be all day) its like i get to be selfish and relax, if i get upset it would be because of other people messing around with my plans
my birthday was the 6th but i had work so i was gonna celebrate it on the 7th because I was off. that morning i went to the mall to get korns life is peachy CD but they were closed because of a water issue or something. when I got back in my car I saw texts from my friends who were gonna go to skyzone with me that day, cancelling on me. worst part was on the way home. I was just about home when my brakes shat the bed and had 700 ping causing my front bumper to go nuts to butts with the car in front of me. I just totalled my first car.
I hate celebrating my birthday because everyone else makes it such a big deal. They buy me things I feel obligated to use but end up hating. They make sure I am "having a good time" like every hour. I now tell people I am doing something like camping for the whole week and just keep my phone on silent for days. I know, first world problems. Its weird that people don't want to just hang out with me the other 364 days of the year but they clear calendars for that one day... maybe out of some weird obligation.
I think most people who are sad on their bday is because society tells you that you're a loser unless you have tons of people turn up and celebrate with you, which is unrealistic really unless you're like 12 lol. All special days seem like a scam anyway, it's just a reminder to buy stuff.

Plenty of people doing videos like this and not one of them abandons previous way of thinking or doubts his/her pointview. What use is your tactic if it brought you to this? Things probably aren’t passing you by at the rate you think they are, if at all.

Birthdays aren't fun anymore since my dad passed away. I was born in August and he died a few days before my birthday.
