yeah hands down best rotation guide i've ever watched. Was so nice to have all the reasoning laid out and the sections broken down properly. Can see how this is going to massively reduce the learning curve for me on harbinger.
Best rotation guide I have ever seen. Most will never reach the benchmark. Too many factors involved. However, this gives better understanding on why things are the way they are and will enable us to increase our DPS to whatever time and effort we decide to practice the hand eye coordination required to get better. Thank-you.
Loved it and saved me a lot of time understanding harbinger. Now I am top DPS in almost every party or squad I join. Looking forward more like this one!
This is great. Gonna be keeping an eye out for more from you; I've never seen another guide on a rotation that breaks a rotation down into parts and explains each part and how it all works together. Much appreciated.
Very nice video. Very cleanly explained and demonstrated. Loved the extra tips in the description as well. I hope you have/make more videos like this one. I'm going to look now :)
Thanks. Wanted to put out another guide last week but got sick so can't record with voice atm. Got a script written for the next spec already for the most part so hope i can get that recorded when not sick anymore.
Amazing dude! thanks! do you have any video for Condi Scourge? Im new to the game but I want to learn how to use it and later go for harbringer (I don't have EoD).
thanks for the breakdown mate. this was great. I'm new to Necro and not up with the Nightmare Runes. I have exalted Viper. What recommended runes do you suggest prior to Nightmare?
You can use the Tormenting Rune setup I listed in the description if you don't mind spending the money on Tormenting Runes. It is only slightly behind the Nightmare Rune setup DPS-wise and it can be used for the Quickness variant too with a simple food change and a few Ritualist pieces. I'm not quite sure about budget alternatives but anything with condi duration will be fine like Lich Runes or maybe even Elementalist Runes. But if you decide to go for sth other than Tormenting or nightmare, I would suggest trying to upgrade to one of them eventually. If you are set on going for Nightmare Runes in the long run, getting a budget option that is cheap enough to overwrite them later is a good idea probably (most likely the Lich/Ele Runes)
In shroud, you advocate a 243(1x5), 2(1x5)432, exit rotation, but Snowcrows advocates 32(1x5), 432(1x7), 234, exit -- do these variations REALLY matter much?
Has anything changed with the golem after the update? I am adding all conditions to golem and adding all boons to self, but I can't hit your 36k dps. I'm capping at ~ 28-29k. I am not using food, but I still feel so off
Brilliant guide was looking for one and wasn't really understanding the rotation till I came across your vid. Thank you so much!!! @Ascers - I was wondering if you had a build for fractals? One that excels at AOE and multiple targets? No worries if not, but I thought I'd ask.
For Harbinger, I'd run the exact same build in fractals for the DPS variant (Quickness variant gets some extra boon duration from potions so doesn't need Ritualist pieces like in raids). (If you want a visual on the gear, etc. check out discretize.eu/builds/necromancer/condi-harbinger/ ) You have quite a bit of AoE damage on this build. Your Pistol auto-attack bounces, Pistol 2 pierces and Pistol 3 is an AoE, same with Dagger 5 and Elixirs. In Shroud your 2 skill pierces and 4 and 3 are AoE as well. You also pulse AoE Torment through your trait wihle i Shroud. You can swap out an Elixir for Spectral Grasp to group up adds in fractals better. If condi in general is just too slow for your taste in killing adds, then you would have to go with another spec like Power Reaper or another class entirely since Power Harbinger is not really good at all.
Thanks for the guide. The break down helped me a lot when trying to learn this class. What do you think is a decent goal to aim for on the golem? I can hit about 30k dps when practicing, BUT I when I am practicing I'm not using food or utilities and I don't own infusions with stats on them. Thanks again!
Sorry for the lengthy answer, but there's always a lot more nuance to interpreting golem numbers so I'll just give my opinion here on what I do and what you COULD do (but don't have to) I'd recommend just using food once to see how much difference it makes. Makes it way easier to compare and you don't have to keep using it, just use it once on golem to see. Giving a number on the difference it makes is rly just educated guessing. It's for sure less than 10% for food+utility combined though. Infusions make 2-3%ish. What number you aim for is kinda up to you to be honest and what goal you have. I personally always aim for 95% of bench or at the very least 90% on any build I practise (just reduce it by 10% without food/util/infusions i guess), but I moreso make sure to reach that number consistently and understand the rotation rather than focusing on the exact number so I can translate it into a real fight better. You can go into real fights with way less, i just personally always aim for this cause i feel like that's when I understand the rotations rly, but the most important thing is transition the number into the fight.
The optimized version on Snow Crows recommends Head, Shoulder and Chest at the moment. However, it is not a big DPS loss ot take a few extra pieces. My personal recommendation is to use whatever pieces you can most easily get as Ritualist stats (for example if you have certain legendaries or the new story achievements) and aim for either 23% boon duration or 30% for it to be more comfy without much loss.
@@ascers5727 Thanks! Been trying this rotation on the golem, but i don't seem to have enough life force when i enter shroud to execute the full shroud rotation (i'm sure it's because i can't hit my buttons as fast as you do). Would you recommend skipping a step in the shroud rotation or changing a utility/trait for more life force?
@@krchecotah it depends where the issue comes from. if you are slow in shroud and therefore consume too much life force by leaving late, maybe look at a log and compare to the benchmark log to see how long you spend in shroud. Or try using only skill 2 in shroud and focu on getting that casted 3 times and see if that (temporarily) fixes it before trying to press the other skills again. Besides that, just try to keep track of the rotation as best as possible to always get your Scepter 3s and Pistol 2/3 in as much as you can to build up enough Life Force. If you really struggle with Life Force in a loop, i would recommend cutting a shroud loop shorter rather than delaying it too much (unless a major life force skill is 1-2s away) cause of Soul Barbs (and potentially Quickness if you play that variant) but ideally you'll of course always be able to do full shroud loop as soon as it is up.
Check the description. It lists the builds you can use for DPS and Quickness. TL;DR: In fracs you get boon duration from the Omnipot and ofc your trait so you can run Full Viper. In Raids you want to put in at least enough Ritualist to get to 23% boon duration, slotting in a bit more to get to 30% makes things a bit more comfy.
Do you have any tips on blight management? Like how to avoid dying from too much blight? Sorry if this question is noobish but im still trying to learn the class.
I am sadly not 100% sure how to answer this question. If you somehow know a big hit is incoming that you can't avoid, you can delay your Blight application a bit or try to consume the stacks fast (which you will do anyways in shroud) but that'll lower your damage too of course. Your HP will generally go up and down a bit but I guess the best thing I can say is to try to be extra careful at high amount of Blight stacks since you'll still have around 15k health even at max stacks.

thanks for the kind words, appreciate it
oh my god, if only all rotation guides were like this. thank you!
Amazing guide, more rotation guides should be done in this style so that people learning a rotation can have a strong foundation to start from.
Loved it and saved me a lot of time understanding harbinger. Now I am top DPS in almost every party or squad I join. Looking forward more like this one!
Very good explanation. Just started with steam release and this is the best rotation guide by far.

Thanks. Wanted to put out another guide last week but got sick so can't record with voice atm. Hoping to get it out once I am not sick.
The insight given in this guide is rare among guides lol gg
What's fun is that for Quickness Harbinger you do the same rotation since you give quickness merely by existing in shroud.
Really love your guides, each step is very well covered and really easy to understand following the step by step
this is really really good video, you did explaing everthing very clearly.. thanks for your amazing afford

Amazing! Thank you for this! Keep up the great work!
Really nice, good job!
Thank you!
Fantastic! Please do more for other specs.
Thanks, got some more planned. Just gotta see when exactly I have the time to get them done!
amazing explanation
great guide thanks a lot. Very clear and structured
Great video! Very helpful!
Thanks! glad it helped
Very good video. Imo there's just one thing missing: play pistol/ dagger + scepter/warhorn especially on fights that need cc.
Thank you for this
Well earned sub!

Great job! Just onde question: Shroud 5 really has no use in rotation in any situation?
silly question here, but what outfit/hat with that brim and mask that on the opening pic? or is that just artist rendering?
Which breed is best in this case? Does race matter? Is it only visual?
races only get a few specific utility skills, they are useless at worst and very niche at best so it does not rly matter what race you play
incase your alac team mate down or die, you will auto alot. as pistol cd with alac is so fast you won't have time to use auto pistol.

Is it worth using ritualist stat combo? Or if you want party support the quickness trait is enough with the elixir? or better to just go full viper?

Good video! How do you cancel Shroud 3?
Hey, you can input either movement or another skill right after hitting Shroud 3 and you will see that the exploison will still go off.
jesus fucking christ
