Bro, you know what the best tool bag is for a tool belt if you'll have everything you need in that belt? I kid you not; A bowling ball bag. First of all, you place your belt in it vertically so it's always sitting up.
Secondly, when you close it, it snugs the belt in and keeps all your tools locked in place even if the bag tips over.
Third, they're made to carry bowling balls so they're heavy duty.
They also take use up a small footprint in your vehicle and are dirt cheap in thrift stores.
You can get a nice thick leather bowling ball bag with a heavy duty zipper for a few bucks that'll last for years.
    Plus, they carry easily too.

For me a 5 gallon bucket wit (or witout ;) a bucket caddy did the trick. Just lower the belt right into the bucket. Holds the belt upright wit no spillage. Xtra tools in the bucket caddy.

As a roof and siding installer it’s not fun to go down every time I need something so what do I carry:
20oz hammer, cats claw pry bar, 1/4 punch, 1” chisel, 25’ tape, chalk line, siding tool, snips, square, appropriate fasteners, occasionally an awl, pencil, permanent marker. You’ll never know how useful or not so useful a tool is until you try it out on a job I use all of these tools daily.

  • @josephlabranch6595

Carry what you need. Generally most of the time the shit you really need is gonna fit in a small shoulder type bag that you can just carry in. Especially now with all the parts organizer boxes that milwaukee has made.

That's one of the greatest ideas and advice that I've seen on RUclips. I hate wearing a toolbelt and always try to keep as little as possible in it but the guy that works for me I bet his belt weighs 40 lbs and I think that he has every tool he owns in it and all day long all I hear is him complaining about his belt weighing him down and I've told him "just put in it what you need for the job we're doing" so much that I don't even waste my breath anymore. So what if you have to walk to the toolbox once or twice a day for something odd that you didn't know that you needed. It's better than walking around with 40 lbs strapped to your waist for 8-10 hours a day.

hey, i think i have that same tool belt, but my millwaukee driver and impact gun , don't want to stay in it, i have to stubby batteries, i do auto body so i'm in tight places, and the big batteries just don't do well,so i wind up just laying it on somethin , and it's fallen countless times ( and still works great, barely even scratched), are there any options that actually work besides getting a whole kydex ballistic holster making kit? please help

What kind of construction are you doing my man? Commercial maintenance/repairs? I'm personally a Jack of all trades type. I do frame to finish, commercial/residential, a lot of site work, additions, porches, staircases......all of it! I lost a lot of my tools in an unfortunate series of events and I watch all your videos for advice as to what I need to replace and what to replace it with. I'm trying to go all in on Milwaukee M18 Fuel but I have to buy everything as I can afford to, basically as the job calls for due to my losses. Anyway, thanks for the great vids have a blessed day brother!

Bro, get yourself a decent tool belt. That thing is a rookie's first tool belt special. Get something without fixed pouches so you can wear them on the side so you can see into them and reach them better. A right handed guy with his hammer on the left, what a joke. Inefficient.

Try bending or crouching with bags full of bulky tools in front. Doesn't work well. That's why people who wear tool belts as part of their job wear them oriented, buckle front and tools to the back and sides.

I’m an IT technician and I have a small Kuny’s pouch I got at The Home Depot during a trip to Vancouver. It’s got all the bare minimum tools I need for about 90% of the hands on, tools-needed work I do and that just gets thrown into my backpack with my laptop in the protective laptop pocket/sleeve. I’ve got a much bigger pelican and dedicated tool box for other stuff, but yes, it’s very important to have just what you need at quick access and not get bogged down by unnecessary stuff you never und up touching. Good advise here all around that can be applied to many types of field work.

Milwaukee makes some of the only one made tools out there, plus they make shit that is way better than others in regards to their socket sets and combination wrench sets, I am a Bosch cordless tool user, I am sure that the cordless tools I use are a couple steps better than the ones Milwaukee is offering however Bosch doesn't offer a lot of the tools that Milwaukee does, and I do have alot of Milwaukee tools, cable cutters, ko sets, hole hawgs, band saws, ratchets, cut off tools, work lights, packout boxes etc.
