I replaced my pads with Hawks about a month ago and have had a rattle ever since that I couldn't find after checking all of my front end multiple times.. I think this video just saved me because I had no idea I was supposed to transfer those clips over. Thank you so much for this.
Little trick. Use the old brake pad for leverage when compressing the caliper. Distributes the pressure a little more evenly. Also those “clips” aren’t clips they’re wear indicators. That’s what runs against the caliper when the pads are wearing out.
Yes, a wind back tool is need to compress the rear pistons. In a pinch I was able to use channel locks. Be sure to grease up the rubber boot with some brake fluid if it's dry and sticking to the piston has you wind it back.
He fucked up first off your not supposed to compress the caliper like how he did DONT EVEE DO THAT the gun might get stuck inside the piston and it’s a bitch getting it out ALWAYS use the old brake pads to compress the piston and have the master cylinder open cuz pressure going to build up second he FORGOT to even grease up the sliding pins which are behind the 2 bolts that are used to hold the caliper it’s important that you grease them up as well

Glad it helped you out!!!
Is it required to transfer the calms?

That's only the front. Do you need a wind back tool to compress the pistons on the rear brakes?

Just use a dang cheap c clamp no need for any fancy wind back tool
Is this the same for a Scion tC 2011 Ford Focus
what about opening the bleeder value before compressing the piston back? then flushing the brakes...
Why would you need to flush the break fluid to depress the piston back?
@@krystiantomczuk7451 To get out any air trapped in with the fluid.
No just compress slow and if you are worried pop open your brake fluid lid while you compress
what is the ft-lb for the rim???
yo if you don't mind me askin, what beat is that playing at 5:59
Haha, its a default iMovie beat. Cant remember the name
Why didn't you do the ducking back
Because my gf totaled it a month later. Winning.
im so sorry rip
Who this be the same for 2015 model
Should be
