  • Ketosis refers to abnormally high levels of ketone bodies in the blood. 'Ketone bodies' is a collective term used to describe acetone and 2 organic keto type acidic compounds which are produced as a result of excessive fat metabolism.

    ketosis and ketoacidosis are achieved by different metabolic conditions, right? The dangerous condition related to diabetes is ketoacidosis. Ketosis being a safe/healthy metabolic state where a person avoids carbohydrates and uses fat for energy. The existence of ketones is part of that metabolic system wherein the liver creates ketones for cells that are unable to directly metabolize fat (i.e. brain and kidneys), right? Then some cells must have glucose, very very few (i.e. blood cells, cornea), for them the body (liver) is able to create glucose from protein and also even from fat (recent research is establishing this as fact). So why not use the term ketosis in your video title and video dialogue?
