We wake up on day 4 of our 4100 mile 16 day motorcycle adventure to some beautiful blue skies looking out over the Mackinac Strait and lake Huron.
We have enjoyed riding over 1100 miles so far on our trip and look forward to adding an additional 560 miles today.
Yesterday was a no motorcycle ride day but we did get to take ride a ferry under the Mackinac Bridge and spent a spectacular day on Mackinac Island. Today we ride our motorcycles across this magnificent structure.
In this video, I share information about the bridge and some great views of Lake Michigan and the beautiful fall colors of the upper Michigan Peninsula in the middle of September on our ride through Wisconsin and across the Mississippi River ending the day in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

sister and crossing the bridge at the Ohio river. I have been crossing that bridge since i was a kid and i still get this feeling in my
chest i can't explain. Even though i never lived there it feels like i'm going home. When i'm coming north and cross that bridge
i feel sad even though i am going home. John Denver says it best, Almost Heaven, West Virginia. That may have been more of a

Love watching your videos. Since I last commented on a video, I got my endorsement. I was looking at a ‘24 RG3 in Billiard Gray. But then I saw ‘23 in Gray Haze and I loved it. My dealer found one for me with chrome trim. I have 600 miles on it I am loving every minute. I don’t know how you do such long rides. After 200 miles, I’m exhausted. LOL You still inspire me to keep riding. Thanks for your videos.
Congratulations!!!! Thank you. I am a goal oriented person and if I need to be someplace at a certain time I forget the discomfort and just push myself. 😉. Maybe someday we will meet for a long… ride.

I can't believe Gina narked on your daughter. Bad Gina. Don't feel bad, my wife dropped Monster on my bike and it stuck to everything. Great video. My mom is from Milwaukee so my bucket list is riding in that area to see where she grew up. Thanks for the glimpse.
LOL...We had a good laugh at the coffee spill. Those times make for some great memories. Maybe you can ride up to Washington, pick up HWY 2, take it to Escanaba Michigan and then head down to Milwaukee. :). Thanks for watching. I’ve driven over that bridge a couple of times in a car. Would be lying if I said I didn’t find it disconcerting each time. Used to ride a motorcycle, would not want to do that on a bike.

Mackinac and Mackinaw are pronounced like they look.
Locals corrected me in 2005 when I used the K sound at the end for the island. I asked more locals this time. I was once again set straight. :)
