I definitely wanna see a video related on how you got to where you are today as a DP and working with the NFL ! Great content
Thanks, that’s a great idea!
Beautiful setup!
🙌 thanks
Thanks for making these videos! Do you still use your ergorig on occasion with the 35 and if so when and why?
Sometimes if I have a long run and gun day. I don’t use it for football, just doc work
Sports video is something im trying to get into myself so how does that work with the NFL? Are you shooting with a network, hard knocks, freelance and then licensing the footage? Thanks!
I shoot primarily for NFL Films. They famously produce Hard Knocks, Netflix Receiver and a ton more. I typically shoot game days for NFL Films and on occasion I’ll DP or cam op some off the field interviews for their various shows.
@ that is so sick man! I do DIT work all throughout the southeast so if you ever need one hit me up! 🤙🏼
These were great! I'm about to join the ranks of A35 owners, so I appreciate the heck out of these kinds of videos. I'm surprised that the clients only request 1080p, but I suppose they know what they want. Again, fantastic. Thanks for your insight.

I remember you said that you bought the Arri 35 because of a client, which ultimately gave you the work.
That's a lot of cash to put on the table for just "1 client" right?! I'm assuming you were still working on other gigs with the Arri 35 elsewhere??
NFL Films is a great client. They are the sole reason I bought this camera. I routinely work on 30+ shoots per year with them. I do have a couple other clients but the Alexa 35 isn’t a priority for them. That’s why I own an FX3 as well.
@DomTheDP I guess you need a variety of cameras to suit the client's budget. Nobody uses the Arri Alexa mini these days. Although priced at $17500 USD, with about 2600 hours usage, i'd rather put that money towards a Ursa 12K LF or Canon C400 with a few primes to get me started.
I’m a new RUclipsr trying to make videos for my first camera would you recommend I purchase a Arri Alexa 35
or a Canon EOS R6 Mark 11 Mirrorless Camera RF24-105mm F4-7.1 is STM Lens kit , full-frame hybrid camera thanks for your feedback
The EOS R6 is a great camera to start with and is much more affordable
Here I am looking up reviews before I buy my first Alexa 35 and I come across this video! 🫶🫶
