@@strikechord it was the hardest test I’ve ever taken, the first question got me good. It was 2:30 long and I used 2 hours and 15 minutes of it. I thought I got an 80+ and I ended up with a 96 and was the top of the class. The class average was 60, min 9 max 96. I will say, for me, integration was the most used. So glad I re-learned rotation of disks, interval of convergence, and McLaurin series. The first question was integral of (e^cuberoot(x)) / (cuberoot(x^2)) and was solve with a u sub but I only got it after coming back at the end. I wish you all the best and remember, get a good nights rest the night before and you’ll probably do better than you though
True. Also find a group of student to study with. My overall grade in calculus 2 is a A. All thanks to two of my best friend helped me through the class.
Man I should've watched this before my final. I ended up just reviewing everything the day before the exam and I studied like 13-14 hours or so. I ended up failing horribly so now I have to retake it next semester. Going to study throughout break so I'm on top of things come the start of the semester

@@iamthechair6328 With the x^3 the dx = du/2x. You take the 2 out the integral and are left with (x^2)/(u^0.5) at this point just sub in a rearrangement of u = x^2 + 9 to get u - 9 / (u^1/2)
3 doesn't have to be solved with trig. If u = x^2 + 9 and you split the top into x^2*x then you can get by with just standard u-sub. You end up with a different but equivalent form of the integral, ((x^2+9)^3/2)/3 - 9(sqrt(x^2+9)) + c. I did it this way and was very frightened when he started using trig (Either I'm crazy or Calc BC never really hit "inverse trig integration" very much. We just do U-sub and Parts). But the answers are equivalent when I check it with Desmos.

@@dinkletonne Actually it's over half not just some part,I know this because I actually had some of emm,they could be about 2hour Long and it'll become about 48mintutes,some videos about some concepts have been deleted,you can't watch the entire lecture,the the force applied on a point charge hanging from a string in an electric field,there were about 3 hours worth of electric field videos and now there's about 50 minutes or so,and the good parts,like finding the electric field intensity at a particular point and more electric field application questions and not the run off the mill ones are all gone, hybridization used to be about 40 minutes to an hour,now it's 10. Heat engine as well and lot's more,I know this because I had these videos before and then they just started disappearing,I couldn't find them and couldn't download them back as they've been deleted, selective precipitation as well was also deleted and will probably not to redone,it was about 20 minutes, banked curve was an hour+ with really good questions,now it's about 17 minutes with the the typical examples that everyone knows. We've all gotta make ends meet I suppose.
This is actually where i peaked in math. I couldnt get by this class at all. I managed to get an associate of science so I see that as a win. But since then I have been traumatized by anything complex math especially anything to do with calculus. So I'm here just to watch just cause, but for anyone that is watching this for review for your finals or for practice to pass this grueling subject good luck
@firezera nope failed calc 2 twice. Well failed the first time, and quit the second time. This class really humbled me and was a learning experience for me. I'm not as smart and locked in as I thought I was. In the third question, you could have substituted u =9+x^2, then x^2 would be at the top, then replace it with u-9, then distribute the denominator and perform the integration, and the result would come in a different form, but give the same numbers.

I'm cramming for my exam tomorrow but for the partial fraction question at 28:00 I found A=-1, B=-2, C=4. I used the same exact equations and these still checked out to the answers of 1, 12, 12. Is it possible to get two sets of different coefficients that work out for partial fraction?

when we do definite integrals using u-sub we never change the limits of integration. why all of a sudden we change the limits of integration finding area or surface area?
The P test is used to determine if a series converges or diverges. For number 5 here, we are asked to solve an improper integral. Both use the concept of convergence/divergence, but are 2 completely different Calc 2 topics

I got 102% overall in Calculus 2. The secret is you need to practice a lot. You can do it.

The problem from ~ 9:30 -> 20:00 can be simplified down using a U substitution for (x^2 + 9) and done in about 4 lines rather than the trig route
