I was 13 at the time and hearing his voice when he sang this tune had a profound impact. Dennis Emmanuel Brown, gone too soon. RIP voice of an angel.

The original is the Aswad song called Dub Fire. Dennis Brown heard them rehearse when on tour together, and just picked up the mic and in true Dennis Brown fashion tore it up. They decided to release it proper. In JA they call it the promised land riddim.
