Yes you will have to drill the rivets, then replace with screws given in the packet. That plate you mention is indeed to replace the rear plate that is screwed in. it pivots up to make reloading easier. also some ethanol alcohol should remove the "inert" from the tube, just don't do it more than required cause it will also take off green paint. Lastly, front black button, is to collapse the tube again, safety prevents it from firing until forward, and rear button fires it.
Thanks for the Video Dude it's Awesome. I've got a full Instruction manual for the whole system including your adapter and the back plate is a Breach that you can open and close to replace the primers hope that helps Dude. I've also got my own M-72 and I Love It. :D
Should keep those practice rockets and put em on gun broker. Cool stuff!

Can you show us how to instill the subcal
Aww hell, where did you get that? I had one I got when I was 8 years old for $20, still wish I had it..
Are you looking for the 35mm practice rockets?
There's supposedly a way to re-arm / re-load the improved variants of the M72. Probably a lot of work though.
it fires by way of a firing pin. seems a primer and fuse should work to launch a firework.
I picked it up on gun-broker.... cost a bit more than $20 though ;)
Who makes the the subcal and training rockets wher can I find this let me know thanks
