Great tablet for basically everything. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS I bought it specifically for art, and that 4k screen is really fantastic for it! Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects! You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though! One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!
I want to ask about the life cycle of the Samsung tablets, for me I am still using my iPad Air 2 since it was released back in late 2014, so does it almost have the same cycle or shall I stick with Apple if I wanted to upgrade?
Apples users will tell you to stick to iPads. The consumer market tells you iPads' market share has crashed from 80% to 34% in the last 9 years. And Samsung's marke share has increased from 8% to over 20% during the same time. So do you want to listen to the market or Apple fanboys...
Samsung flagships easily 5-6 years, so totally worth it. My cheap 7" Tab A6 from 2016 with only 8GB storage lasted me 4+ years of HEAVY use and still felt great in 2020. Now My Tab S7 is my favorite electronic device of all time! It's what I call a masterpiece. My experience with it has been amazing, perfect, and after 18 months of heavy use, it's still flawless. I traded it for the Tab S8 only because I wanted more RAM and storage and since Samsung trade-in deals were so amazing, why not? Samsung gave me back what I paid for it in 2020, which was $550. But I plan to stick with the Tab S8 for 5+ years. I also own an iPad Mini 5, which is basically a mini iPad Air 3 and I love it because of the size, which is perfect for mobile gaming. I also love drawing on Procreate with my Apple pencil. The Mini 5 from 2019 is still pretty fast and powerful, but man iPadOS is so disappointing compared to Android OS + One UI. So I would never trade a Galaxy Tab S7/S8/S9 for any iPad, even if it had an M5 chip just because of 1-2 more years of life cycle. The Tab S7/S8 is a beautiful powerful beast and it's worth it no matter the price.
@@noneofyourbusiness6100 glad I didn't listen and found by myself. @@lapreciouswhittaker213 have you tried samsung notes? Its the pirmary note taking app for samsung tabs. Its really good and has many features that apps such as good notes and notability have.
Tab S8 is supercool tablet. I like it is no AMOLED, what means less strain on the eyes during very long sessions and longer battery life. Fingerprint scanner is perfect, way better than on screen.
the in-display optical fingerprint sensor in my s8 plus is good enough. Way better than what i experienced on the note8 and note10+ which used the ultrasonic sensor. But the optical sensor in my huawei mate40 pro is slightly better.

I just got one a few days ago. I put the pen on the wrong way too at first. I like android but there is a higher learning curve as opposed to an ipad, which I have as well. I really like the size for just holding and reading.
Picked up the S8 at Best Buy, on sale, for $549.99. I'm pretty happy with it. I already had a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so with Dex, it has replaced my laptop for simple tasks. The screen is beautiful as it is with almost all Samsung devices. The front facing camera is perfect for Zoom or Teams. Overall, I'm super happy with it.
how is the note taking experince due to the size. I am confused, if I should take this device or S8+. My main moto is to take notes on the tab but due to its smaller size I am little confused. Can you please advise based on your experience
@@humanbeing4684 I hardly use the pen at all so I don't think I can really comment on the note taking. There is the Samsung Notes app that looks like you can create notes pretty easy and there is always Microsoft OneNote.

quick question: can you rest your hand on the screen while writing with the S Pen without the hand registering a touch imput which then draws on the screen (I couldn't tell from the video if you were actually doing that while writing)?
I have the s8+ and yep. In samsung notes palm rejection is automatically on. You would not be able to write with your hands. It will only work for when you scroll or zoom in. I do think this is adjustable in settings if you dont prefer it.
