Comment below here if you guys know any other Hwei specific mechanics or bugs ^^ Hwei currently has quite a few bugs such as no ability buffering, EW being dodgeable by fast dashes/flash and spellbook visual bugs
Hey! The best items to start atm is either blackfire torch or ludens, into liandrys (vs tanks) or horizon. I take ludens -> horizon nearly every game since I play Hwei adc and building ludens first when you are playing vs. more squishy makes it easier to kill when you get your first item. The champ is super fun but having good fundamentals on the champ is required as you will be punished if you don't really understand which ability is best to use in each situation.
Idk might just be me, but I feel like domination second isnt that bad, especially for low elo, having ghost poro with cheapshot is nice, and I dont find myself having mana issues if I use my abilities conservatively. Plus I know that comet is probably best into mages, and will have more damage late game as well, i just really like aery for the guaranteed damage, against melees sure, but if they have mobility, or just high base movement speed comet can be less consistent.
from personal expirience going horizon second makes me feel like my damage is lacking thats why personally i like going shadowflame second because it makes one shots possible and it has amazing synergy with the bolt since it deals more dmg the lower hp enemies are while shadowflame crits enemies on low hp
Shadowflame just costs too much imo to build 2nd and the vision aspect is really nice for revealing enemies positioning, the damage amp gets it close to shadowflames damage too while giving ability haste. But fair enough ig I just feel like its a worse rabadon since its only 400g cheaper.
@@robert39yt flat magic pen on it feels really nice vs most mid matchups not to mention that with sorcs+shadowflame you get 30 flat pen wich means you ll be dealing basically true damage to the ADC and most mages
Is horizon changed to where it no longer applies on slows? New build info in game doesnt mention slow, but in end game screen it still shows old passive
@@ReignCold It's just an accent, not that big of a deal, not everyone have commercial voice, the guide is awesome, it escapes the classic "the abilities do this and that" type of guide.
You can use your QE -> EE to punish yasuo when he goes near the wave to farm, if he has WW up then he can block your QE but otherwise it's about a 50/50 skill matchup. Don't over extend vs him especially when he hits 6 or you will struggle since he can windwall your fear if he is decent.
I dislike the itemization part, even if the enemy team has 5 champs with burst, you should never build zhonya's if you're behind. It's okay to suggest items but there is no one right answer.
And buying upgraded boots first back into hard matchups is crucial. I hard disagree on the archangel's as this champion is one of the rare mages that have absolutely no mana problems. Also shadow flame is an insane damage item, especially if you're ahead
Saying Hwei has no mana problems is an outright lie and zhonyas helps since if any assassin drops their full combo on you, even if you're behind you're just gonna get 1 shot if you don't and be less useful. The itemisation part is meant to be a general guidance anyways.
@@ReignCold All of Hwei's abilities have high base mana costs, even if you use we on CD you can run out of mana wave clearing/poking/hitting objectives. Personally I don't much since I run presence of mind but sometimes I still do. Denying a fed person a kill/not letting taking you out of the fight can win the fight also since they put themselves in a bad position to be able to kill you most of the time.
What is this? There is nothing advanced in here its all hwei basics that should be obvious after a teen game or so... thought I would learn something new about my champ, I was wrong.

Thank you for the hwei guide, been wanting to play him to climb
First strike, comet or aery for sure. Been putting in the time with him and easily my favourite champ over my beloved swain
Good video!!
really clear guide, no BS, good text descriptions over clips, etc. Good context behind the combos, and situations that you'd use them
Appreciate it :))
I always go First strike with Hwei and full on cdr build. This gave me another build I should try. Cheers!
One thing I wish you mentioned is that when you poke in lane, like Jayce you want to q then e, you want to qq we since it's less telegraphed.
hey there. would you recommend learrning Hwei? I saw you are building Ludens into Horizon now, is that a solid build? Im silver/gold if that matters

Comet is nice though with your R/QE slow since it's basically guaranteed to hit and your E also is basically guaranteed to hit.

@@dreamergamer9291 They removed the pen from shadowflame at the start of S14, it just crits for more damage below like 40% hp.
@@robert39yt no it still gives magic pen no just as a stat? yeah i just checked it gives 12 flat pen
@@dreamergamer9291 Ah mb I thought it was removed, it's nice vs squishy then tbf
3:50 why W.E before the Q.E that means the bubbles dont hit the whole wave right?
It applies on the whole wave once
Is horizon changed to where it no longer applies on slows? New build info in game doesnt mention slow, but in end game screen it still shows old passive
Horizon no longer applies on CC's, only on abilities hit above 600 range. The vision and damage amp it grants is still insane tho.
Good info Ty
Thx for this Hwei 😱😱😱😱🙀🙀🙀🙀
clean guide, something off about the you talk tho imo, can't pinpoint what it is
First time recording a guide so some pauses and stutters, I tried to cut as many out as possible.
Lack of articulating, stumbling ln his words, talking a lot without saying anything.
