I went whole food plant-based no oil and drastically reduced too-high cholesterol, got safely out of pre-diabetic range, lost 30+ pounds that needed to go, and now even though I'm several years older, I recover from vigorous physical activity so much faster. I also have very little bodily pain in general. Eating like this is wonderful. I also back up my diet with good choices as mentioned in the podcast about getting enough good quality sleep, exercising daily (for me it's about a 2 mile hike and a half hour of stretching, sometimes a little more of each of those), time to pause and reflect and meditate even if that is only a short time each day. I buy as much of my food as possible organic, too, since I think pesticides and hormones stress and poison our bodies. It's a comprehensive lifestyle and it's wonderful!

    Good Morning,
I realize this is a 2 year old pod cast.
I've enjoyed this discussion, I am one man, who did his fair share and more, worked full-time in a federal prison, often coming home , to a big mess of a house, no meal, and not a pleasant environment.
My then wife, was not working, if it snowed, nobody would shovel snow away from front entrance, but snow all packed, cigarette butts all over.
Not once did I get a lunch made for me, even though I often worked 16 hour shifts.
Some of us Men, do help and pull our weight.
When my daughter was 8 months old she had a flu, I slept on the floor beside her crib, worried she might vomit and choke.
I recently have been stricken with a autoimmune inflammatory disease.
I've just been put on steroids, at 3 day point, with some relief.
I'm a musician, but can barely play guitar right now my band members have been supportive.
I KNOW WHAT THIS DISEASE FEELS LIKE, ITS NOT FUN AT ALL!!!

You two have great podcasts and need a LOT more subscribers. The thing is, why doesn't this great dog we hear about make a cameo? Hummm? Remember, a puppy in a podcast is always appropriate. :)
I switched to a whole-food, plant-based diet four years ago because of systemic inflammation and cured it, along with my asthma, allergies, tendonitis, and osteoarthritis. I dove into PubMed and followed the science. It worked.
