Do'nt do bro...try all urs techniques without any worry and nervousness...you may defeat many times but after that you will be perfect in ur techniques ❤️🔥🥋
Jab, cross, round kick have been staple for me since day 1. Front/side kick used as a counter to jam the opponent when he moves forward is another one. When I get a bit more comfortable I'll also go for hooks, uppercuts, overhands, hook kick, crescent kick and spinning back/hook kick. Round and front kicks are great because if the opponent steps in you land a knee which is much harder.
Before the night of the tournament, write out everything that you’ll do until the match starts. This will eliminate external irregularities from marking you panic!
I really like combinations like kizami to gyaku-zuki or double gyaku-zuki and mawashi geri (jodan or chudan). Or I'll go for a really quick single attack, like a fast jodan kizami zuki or chudan gyaku-zuki
I love these techniques what I like to throw is a fake chudan zuki to get them to react and throw the same punch I then drop my front hand blocking it and scoring with another chudan zuki.
That's for the helpful video! I find trouble during Kumite to retreat after attacking. I usually have to struggle against my own momentum to go back to neutral distance, and there I am quite an easy target. I thing that what I am doing wrong is use mostly my quadriceps to go back to netrual distance instead of using my calves. It would really love to know how to control the movements in Kumite so that I can attack and retreat as quickly as possible. Probably is not only a matter of strength but also lack of technique. Are there some special drills focused on this issue? Thank you so much!
Try being light on your feet If you commit too hard on a technique and put too much weight on one leg you usually face this issue so I'd say that you should focus on not overextending and try being light on your feet, avoid putting too much weight on one leg during execution of your techniques
As soon as You train all three to level of crushing 2-3 bricks in a row, or break a good showel handle, You can see what Soviet karate actually was. Also for sambo and judo it is 2-3 prime techniques for regular fighter, and 6-8 for high skilled ones - "master of sports" grade and higher, so for your belt You are underdiversified.
My friends tease me that I really don't have a strategy. I am trying to develop one... but I am really struggling.☹️ If someone has any advice pls share!
Thanks for this... i always thought that you had to have a wide array of kicks, especially off the front leg like hook kicks because your opponents can evade the round house and front kicks easily .... you can tell i over think too much lol
I start to do that exercises for kumite...but I never traing at tatami....and I have cuts in my feet. I dont have blister in my feet...only cuts. Can you know what can I do for helth? Thanks
what is the standard execution of rear leg chudan mawashi geri for it to score? what should be its zanshin? should the kick go back to the rear leg so it could be scored? usually some judges don't score if the kick falls at the front. Whats your piece on this?
I am a karate yellow belt and I need some tips for small fast opponents because last week in my karate class during the kumite I got beaten by a small red belt. I used the oi zuki method but he was too fast and I was tired. Can you pls give me some tips.
hi, I have a left-handed sparring partner so I find it more difficult to fight with this person compared to right-handed ones so I was wondering if u have any tips to fight a left-handed person? also, how do u defend yourself from an "opposite roundhouse kick"
idk but just dodge? switch to side and side so your opponent cant attack you that quick and make sure to attack first and quickly so your opponent won’t be able to
Dear Sir, in possession of several books of Karate from Master Nakayama, I would have expected you as probably a Japanese fighter, to break your teaching down into the classical Sen, Sen-N- sen or Go-no-Sen frame, which is the best orientration for beginners. Or, are they no longer valid? Having spent more than three decades in Karate of various applications, I am, somewhow, sensitive to thew levels of those, who we are talking to. Please, think first and then act, and have your presentation arrangewd to levels of your would-be viewers. Best regards. Paul, 67, retired instructor of Karate.
He has another videos on those sen no sen and go no sen timings to attack, this video is just for techniques, I'd appreciate it if you could actually do some more research before putting someone down, sir.
@@dhruv170 In the title of the video he uses the term TACTICS. Therefore, the gentleman's comment above is justified. He have nothing about tactics in this video, which is embarrassing...
I have a karate tournament tomorrow...I am really afraid because I have been to 3 tournaments and won the first place in only one of them and lost two...I am very nervous any tips?it would be great to have some tips from you sir..
Hi. I'm SORRY to have to criticize you, but you make big mistakes in the video. You are blatantly confusing technique with tactics. You say you are showing us tactics...where is it? Present tactical concepts, talk about initiatives, even strategic decisions if you want to give correct information. But I assume you have no knowledge of this. You are just showing some technical elements without a concrete tactical foundation. You are way off the martial path and misleading the public.
1. front kick
2.Turn (make sure the turn is quick and after the front kick )
3.rare kick
I always become nervous during my fight 😥
Same 😭
Practice 2-3 combos regularly, get use to it.

Ahh try bringing the back leg forward and use that movement to bring the front leg back!
You could also shift to the side, avoiding to remain in front of the opponent

My tactic is that I always score and win with ura mawashigiri (the hookick) 😁😁
My fav technic chudan zukhi
nice!
I don't become nervous I make everyone nervous with my fught
omg so sigma🥶🥶🐺🐺🐺
What's a good counter for an opponent that bull rushes with multiple chudan zukis?
Counter ura mawashi geri at back of head or chest moving sideways
if he is bull rushing with chudan zuki, he doesn't know the correct distance and timing. Just attack after this incomplete chudan
Oi Komi, blitz, gyaku + gyaku + Mawashi Geri, Mae Geri + kizami

Fake kizami zuki then a gyaku zuki on the body. That's an easy point.
