This was the last snow storm of the season, came super late. I was editing videos and was kinda not sure if I should go out or not to photograph. But ended up deciding to go, so happy I did, I love conditions like these, makes for the best shots imo
I just got an A7CII a month ago and I'm glad to see you shooting in the snow, I was nervous about shooting in the rain a few weeks ago, Ik its weather sealed but its still brand new. I will definitely be taking it out in the rain next time.
You should definitely do more of these types of videos, I really enjoyed watching this. I just decided to get into photography and videography. Love your content man! Keep up the amazing work, excited to see more 😎
Imo it's the sound which makes this video special. It gives kind of unconfortable frosty mood that makes you feel good sitting at a warm chair and watching the cold storm ouside 😀 Sound is often underrated in video work. Photos are also great of course. The bluish tint adds to the cold mood.
Wow! I like how you always manage to make the white balance cool in your snowy pics. I always struggle with that! (Too blue or too yellowish, looking fake)
But why not always f2.8? Simply because I like the f4 look, slightly sharper and more in focus. But as said above I tend to switch it up, depending on mood and light and what I’m aiming for
Were you using wide area + subject recognition as main AF method? Sorry, I just made the big jump from my old D800 to a tiny a6700, and while the AF had me fascinated with how easy it is. I think I am a little bit resistant to the idea of letting the camera figure it out for me while I can focus on framing or any other area in my shooting... even so it appears to be doing an EXCELENT job every time I let it.
I have been watching yours videos of camera's for 2 days!! First i was thinking of getting A7vi or a6700😅 and today i just bought A7cii😅😅😅 sadly when i was there for see northern light i don't have a good camera 😔 but btw im not a professional photographer hahaha still don't know how to use it 😅 or can you pls make a video of setting the camera for photo shoot 😊 thank you so much 😊
The video is nice and sharp but the still photos are not so much as other Sony cameras I have .This is how I find my A7C2 .A bit soft for my liking even in better lighting.

When was it ?
I love the ambient sound on this, makes me wish I was there!
Thanks!
The ambient sound makes me shiver! Wow! I'm ready for warmer weather!
@@btapplegate02 haha, I'm in warmer weather, but I prefer it when it's cold!
Same here :) Those ambient sounds combined with the camera sounds inspired me to start planning my own photo excursion ❤
I have to get used to seeing snow in April up in the north! Happy you decided to go out! Photos are great!
Thank you! Yea snow in April hahaha it’s life 😂
Thanks for trudging through post apocalyptic weather to share your fantastic photographs.
Hahaha 😂 my pleasure
"post apocalyptic weather" 😂👍

Love all the photos. They make me want to go out in a snowstorm with my camera. Luckily I'm watching the video in winter.
Always love getting out in the snow, great shots! Liking this style of vid
Thank you!

Appreciate it man ☺️ yea it’s a bit tricky, like the greens in summer haha
This was next level, looks like a fun shoot!!
It was awesome 🤌
Best cheap lens for a7cII?for everyday
Not cheap but I love the sigma 24-70 f2.8 DG DN Art II.
It's all time lens for me.
Sony 20-70 f4 is a great lens. Cheaper and smaller than f2.8. Most of these were shot f4.
Harsh conditions do make for some amazing photos. Excellent work as always sir!
Thanks ser!!
Love your PoV´s, always gives me the urge to go out myself
Go get them shots!
superb pictures dude.....great work
Thank you so much 😀
Beautiful and courageous photos!
thank you!
Exactly the setup I plan to get. Great video!
I sure am glad summer came around :D
Yeb it’s so good 🙏🏻
@@thaticelandicguy I look forward to seeing your summer adventures
Nice video! For low light photography: A7IV or A7C II or A6700? Which one is better?
A7IV or a7cii, I would pick between them
@@thaticelandicguy Thank you, friend!
Is there a reason you shoot using the screen versus that viewfinder? Just curious.
Lovely and enjoyable video! Greetings from Bulgaria
Fantastic shots, mate.
I'd probably freeze to death with those temperatures. Let me share some warmth from Sunny Singapore 25-32° degree celsius.
Ah that’s so nice with 25-32c perfect 🤌
Great video. Pls do more POV ❤❤
Thank you! Will do!
You inspire me, I am very grateful to you.
Genuine question: why do you stick to f/4 instead of using 2.8?
Well I tend to use 2.8-4 sometimes up to 8 but rarely higher
But why not always f2.8? Simply because I like the f4 look, slightly sharper and more in focus. But as said above I tend to switch it up, depending on mood and light and what I’m aiming for
Also, there are times you want more depth of field. It all depends on what you want the photo to do.
Thank you for the efforts you put in these conditions. İt must be exhausting. What format are you taking these photos btw. Raw or Jpeg?
Hot chocolate in my belly good!! 💯☕📷🌨
So good!

maaaan i love that too... goin out in harsh weather and make awesome photos ... and than be ill for like a month 😊 .. greetings from austria
Haha yea agree, thank you!
Loved this. Wish I were there.
it was an epic day!
Damn and we had about 2 days of rain here Athens Greece the last 8 months 🤣
damn, is that the norm or is everything dry af rn?
@@thaticelandicguy We always had warm winters but this year was way to warm. Cant complain tho , i hate the cold 😅
I like more color of the video than the foto. The wheater, the sound and the ambient itsself are dramatic
AWESOME 😍❤
Thanks!!
A7C II or A6700 ?
A7c ii
Or you mean which to choose? 😂
What was your bts camera?
The osmo action 4
@@thaticelandicguy thought so, just ordered one! Thank you 🙏

So... it's Iceland or what?
Sweden 👀

Do you like the raw over the JPEG photos?
I always shoot raw :) except if I’m just catching memories
Nice one
Thanks!
❤❤❤😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
so this is summer in iceland. you must do a lot of drugs.
For the love of God turn the AF beep off
In Iceland, photographers are required to keep that on. If they are trapped in a snow drift, they keep focusing so rescuers can find them!
