These are good. I have the Signia Silk 7x and these work about as good. Sony can't say it but I have moderate to severe loss in my right ear and they correct it. My perception is the same as my prescription aids.
Make sure you do the self fitting in a quiet environment. I didn't at first and they were too loud. I retook the test and they are just right now.
They do only have one universal program. I do wish there was a music setting.

How many channels do they have? Can you customize frequency in app basing on hearing audiogram?
Sony OTC hearing aids do not have the same structure to be appropriately compared to prescription hearing aid technology levels. The CRE-C10 devices have 4 pre-configured sound profiles and the CRE-E10 have six pre-configured sound profiles. These sound profiles are determined by the app during the self-fitting process. Sony OTC hearing aids can be further customized for user preference following the self-fitting process.

Each country individually regulates the sale of medical devices, including OTC hearing aids. At this time, the Sony OTC hearing aids are only available for purchase in the United States. The Sony | Hearing Control app needed to set up these hearing aids is only available for download in the United States.

On the last page of the included user guide I see 4 sound profiles. How would I go about applying the sound profiles to the hearing aids, or is it automatically applied during the initial hearing test setup?
Hi Alan, great question! Our OTC hearing aids use pre-defined hearing profiles supporting a range of hearing loss within the mild to moderate category. Based on users' responses during the hearing profile check, the app algorithm will activate the hearing profile that is most suitable for each user's ear.
I have 50-55 dB Hearing loss in the “wife speech range” (3,000-4,000 Hz). Can this one handle this without blowing out my ears with lower frequency sounds?
How many equalizer bands? 4?

A hearing profile check will be completed in the app during the setup process to ensure the hearing aids are providing appropriate levels of sound for the user across the frequency range. OTC hearing aids differ from prescription hearing aids and are not described with channels or bands; rather, the app will chose a hearing profile that suits your needs based on the hearing profile check. Is it rechargedable?
